So here is the dilemma. I suck at mapping :eek: but I have a few really good ideas that would make Hillsfort a great map.At least imo if it can be done and tested with feedback (well see if my idea is correct).Whoever is a mapper and wouldnt mind taking this challenge on please post here.

Ok so you can laugh at my paint skills to lol but here is a genral idea. Any questions plz ask...

dude the paint skills are CRAP LOL

but that aside i really like this idea it could make a great map, who wants to take on this challenge?

I never claimed to be an artist and i agree is crap but if you get the idea thats all that matters i guess. Hope someone can make it so we can try it out and see.

i like hilforts v4 like it is now.
and that map with canons whatever its called is never ever played cause its gay.

perhaps you should get a other program to draw with, this kinda looks like drawings of my 5 years little brother XDD

"Front side" meaning the side of the fort/castle that you enter. Unlike the "back"... U can either spam the sup in the hillsfort we have now from the "front entrance" or "Back Entrance" thats what i mean by front side. So if you where to be standing facing the "fort" and could see through it thats how it might look. Make sense now?
Anywho i will try to create a better drawing and post new screenies. Thanks for feedback

I understand the stuff about the sides , front+back.
But they are all drawn trough eachother.
Try making layers so its easier to visualize the map.

Well i just got AutoCad full version for free and I got Adobe Master Collection CSS. So now give me about 100+ hours to use them and practice and then ill post pics.:p
Seriously ill try to get to it when possible and an FYI on the paint pictures my kid and wife where in the room with me and i made those in about 4 minutes without even trying. I was trying to whip something up quick so hopefully whoever could do the map could have the pictures of the ideas quick.

Hehe, nice.
Well autocad isnt hard to handle.
I used to have it for my previous job, and it a nice program to work with.
You can be accurate at the 0.001 CM with it.

1.Make higher walls 2. Make toxic around fort 3. make core ground level 4. have barriers within fort along with secret hallways 5. take away huge middle mountain and place something else. 6. Put trees,brush and rocks around fort. 7. Make a bridge leading to a big door in front and have another huge ass door in back. 8. Add a small hut or house inside fort with a cannon across from core(good spot for sup=less sup spam). Think thats about it and thats what i meant if anyone can understand this at least...

I'm willing to try this project out.
Finally some motivation to start mapping again.
Sonic PM me about this or add me on Xfire " hoekstra19 ".
Or ask blaze for it or any other uK member who got Xfire and has me on the list lol.

Here are some screen shots of what Cube and myself have come up with for an alternative to hillsfort(orginal). I have tested this map for a few hours and have not found any problems. Maybe soon this can be placed on server for all to play.
There is also an underground middle toxic tunnel which may or may not be good for nuking. I did nto feel the need to post a screenie.

why is the basecore out there in the open under the stairs? Shouldn't it be in the small octagon? ....or am i just looking at it differently? :S

its not the map its the screenshots itself they come out darker and normally need correcting

I heard if you made the core at the spot where the most spawns are, and close it off slightly from each side, it would be much easier to do and make a better map.

core placement on that map is terribad.
I can't count the n umber of games I've started to read "where's the core?"
I was thinking it would be better placed in the room with the hole in the roof, without the gaping hole in the roof. maybe even make a nice pedestal for it to sit on so if you nuke a ff in the doorway it does little to no core damage?
