That happens whenever you're running the game at "weird" resolutions like 1366×768 for example (16:9). If you take the same screenshot at 1280×800 or 1024×768, that does not happen and they turn out ok. It has to do with the way UT creates the bmp file: the resolution numbers have to be multiples of 4, otherwise weird things happen, and that one is the most common.

So right now, there's no way around it (it's something within the engine after all), so either you play with another resolution which is multiple of 4, or you have to start to use an external game screenshots utility.

Well, that answers that! xD
Thank you Sir! :)

I remember this issue ....I don't think it is related to resolution at all...I'll research it but it was because (as far as I remember) because of window mode.

Nope, just try to take a screenshot at fullscreen with 1366x768 or another resolution which is not multiple of 4, this bug will always happen.
The problem is really how UT renders the bmp to save, it makes it in a non-standard way and has these restrictions/problems.

My screenshots works fine in any resolution, I don't think it's that

Well, it's proven to be that the reason, I certainly am not making this up and you can reproduce it in any machine, and I am absolutely sure you didn't try all the resolutions I posted or you're changing your monitor resolution instead of the UT game resolution, so please do this:
- Start UT;
- Set your UT display resolution to exactly 1366x768 (not your monitor, the game resolution itself through the Display menu);
- Start a game;
- Hit F9 to take a screenshot;
- Then look at the result and tell me it didn't get all corrupted. If it didn't get corrupted, post the raw screenshot here to show us please.

I am 100% sure about this.

Oh yeah I guess you're right, I've tried 1360x768
