Sam or blaze can you take a look @ the server it keeps crashing over and over and over

I only saw 4 crashes, but apperently it been more earlier.
We played face, started.. crashed... then face again, played little bit and it crashed.. kept going on like that, please check what's up!

missing 10 minutes for the time end on simplex the server crashes ¬¬
ector had 10 iwarheads, hiuasheui (chuupa)

and 5 minutes latter in face crashed again

Does taking a screenshot the moment stops responding help?
I know it's only a 3 second window but it might be worth it if we can find what or who's causing it.

EDIT: of the scoreboard of course

Probaly some asshole who is crashing the server. If you identify the source PM me the IP Scar.

Screenshots at the moment of crashes, couldn't get previous one at Simplex.

EDIT: Both these and Simplex crashed when my team got the upper hand on all 3 matches.

Ermm I was playing at Combo server at about 21:00 Colombian time, which is 3 am UK time, and Packet loss started super high... 71%, 81% etc for all ppl. So I went to your BT server... all ppl with packet loss... then went to Siege server wich was almost empty due to ppl complaining about the lag and again... all with packet loss

I dont know much about computer stuff... barely knew what packet loss was thanks to my bf xD... but maybe knowing its happening in all your servers at the same time can help. Just letting you know

The servers were crashing because of DDoS attacks which the datacenter has taken care of and will continue to monitor. I've not been around much, sorry. I have been reading forum and escalating issues when necessary so please carry on making these reports :)

Server *just* died on Face no spawnkill with high packetloss, and on reconnect, my client managed to remain connected for about 20 seconds before the client locked up my computer, which has never happened on this server.

Someone really doesnt like you guys.

I saw eight crash logs today all related to siege really that should be fixed next release....hopefully SW will be back soon...I will monitor the situation though sorry about this sooner or later will find out what really is the problem!

SW, if you find me tomorrow before you make the build, I'll give you another small fix.
It's for the mine triggers for movable mines (made on my map's minitrains), forgot to attach the triggers to the mines so the mines move and not the triggers.

BTW, Some of the crashes happen way too early in the game, not PG related, I'd really like to know what's going on.

I saw a crash log related to a failure in kicking a banned player, if that's what's crashing the server so often, I may have a workaround for that to be inserted into the teambalancer.

First thing first the crashlog doesn't finish writing because it does not wait for the server to crash. Process monitor just reboots it ...need a decent crash logger tbh we had one when our severs we on Linux but not really on windows. It's probably some spotty geek anyway doing it maliciosly.

One thing I had in mind is send the banned players to a limbo (fake spectate) for 10 seconds, then have them disconnect with a clientside action.
It would be entirely safe for the server like this.

Problem is bans are not stored locally but on an SQL DB so server need to ask the SQL before granting access.

An assertion in UnrealEngine is a function that deliberately crashes the game if it returns FALSE, and can be used at unrealscript level too.
IsValid() is a function belonging the the base Object class and can only be called with a dll compiled using the UT public headers, (or UT's sourcecode itself).

In the c++ source code, the macro Check() is used to fail an assertion.

Since I don't have the source anything I say from here on is guesswork, either ACE is trying to destroy an invalid actor (don't know what IsValid() checks anyways) or the engine is handling the connection shutdown incorrectly there.
The only way to solve this, is finding a way to replicate the crash or start massive trial-and-error tests in handling banned players.

Before the server crashed I couldn't make it past the ace check without it timming out. Since the lastest anti cheat was put in I've had very high ping until it's finished and it seems to take 10-20 secounds sometimes... Could it have anything to do with crashes?

Just tried nuking a nuker, but they fired first and the server crashed as both nukes went off.

SAM, if you want, I can make a mutator that auto-destroys all Poison Guardians built as workaround.

PD: Also, player wouldn't lose ru.

It would be better especially for critical bug fixes for you and SW both to have up to date sources. I can set up a dev account for the both of you to use if you like and upload your dev work too.

I exported the Jetpack model, modified most of all the import directives and got a clean build.
I still don't understand why are 2 different packages being used instead of one.

Question 2, saw a lot of RedvemberX references in there.
Would it be possible to embed those into the map, and remove them from the main package?

RedVemberX was basically the first SiegeXtreme...it would only load on that map and would run alongside with SiegeXXL2g and basically load extra menus etc. WC can explain further. The siegextreme development was actually me badgering wildcard to take what he'd done on redvember into a mod (not sure if he planned to do that anyway, just remember nagging him)
