This is the official thread for streamers and shoutcasters who want to add their voice to this season of MLSG
Don't know what MLSG TV is all about? We will be streaming matches from this season of MLSG for all to watch live! For an example go here: http://www.twitch.tv/xxtw/
Streamers :: The people providing the video
1. I would prefer streamers to have a mic but it is not entirely necessary, if you do not feel comfortable talking while doing a stream you don't have to.
2. You must have a good system and decent internet to be a streamer, we are not trying to be the best but we want smooth, quality streaming.
Shoutcasters :: The voices of MLSG II
1. You must obviously have a mic.
2. If you are picked to shoutcast you must keep it civil, no blatant disrespect to any players during a match or interruptions during a match.
I will review the people who want to shoutcast myself, people interested in streaming must prove that they can provide a quality stream. If your interested you can refer to the link to Torch's guide as well as follow the steps I took here:
1. Make a test account at http://www.twitch.tv/
2. Download Xsplit at http://www.xsplit.com/
3. After that, you will need to link your Xsplit to your Twitch.tv account. To do this you need to open Xsplit and under Tools > General Settings > Channels > Add
4. You can use your Twitch.tv account password OR Stream ID to connect to Xsplit, you can find your Stream ID here under Show Key: http://www.twitch.tv/broadcast
5. Now you need to set up your UT for streaming, Xsplit will only stream in a window, and the best settings for playing in a window are with D3D10 which can be found here: http://www.unrealkillers.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=3
6. Adjust your brightness in UT with D3D10 and put your UT in a WINDOW
7. Now add a screen region in Xsplit, do NOT just click on the UT window, drag the borders of the screen region to fit UT. This will be the portion of your screen that viewers will see when you are streaming so carefully select the screen region.
8. Go to Tools > General Settings > General and disable aero theme. You can also enable your mic if your going to be using one.
9. Finally go to Broadcast and click on your Twitch.tv channel to begin streaming.
10. Get someone to watch your stream and see how it looks, post results here.
I will be making the official MLSG TV channel soon, our first stream will be on draft day which is on Sunday July 15th 2012 @ 4PM EST. Hope to see you all there.
