Hey MLSG

The MLSG II Admins have voted to edit a rule pertaining to MLSG. This is done to protect the integrity of the league and offer a more balanced perspective on the rule.

Please remember :

Rule 1
In the event that a loophole or poor foresight severely threatens the integrity of the league, the admins may modify these rules, upon majority vote, for the benefit of this AND future tournaments. Any major rule change will be announced here and on the UnrealKillers forums and will be up for discussion.

The rule in question is 4.1d Demos

Original Rule (up for 30 days) : http://pastebin.com/8LWXz3RH

Revised Rule :

Every player must record a demo of each map played and keep this demo for 1 week after the match. (Specs cannot demo for you.) If a player joins the server after the start of a map, it is his responsibility to ensure that he starts recording a demo before commencing play. Demo manager makes this automatic, though you should always check it is recording by either making use of ACE's feature at the top or typing demorec to see if one is currently active.

Requesting Demos:

If foul play is suspected in a match, a captain must submit an inquiry directly to an admin and also post on the MLSG official forums no later than 11:59 PM EST on the day following the match. The player making the accusation of foul play should submit their own demo with a few details, such as specific times which are fishy. Failure to do so will result in no action being taken and a penalty. The admin will then request the demo from the accused and give it to the accuser. If the accuser still feels after reviewing the demo that foul play was involved then the admins will investigate.

Each team can request a maximum of 1 demo per map of the opposing team. More demos can be requested only if the match admin agrees something fishy is going on.

Should the accused be unable or unwilling to provide a demo, the following punitive structure will be followed:

1st Offense: The map(s) in question will be forfeited (or replayed) according to the opposing team's captain's discretion and the player(s) in question will be officially warned.

2nd Offense: The map(s) in question will be forfeited (or replayed) according to the opposing team's captain's discretion and the player(s) in question will be suspended for 1 official match.

3rd Offense: The map(s) in question will be forfeited (or replayed) according to the opposing team's captain's discretion and the player(s) in question will be removed from the season.

In addition, players who are on the MLIG Watchlist must submit every map's demo that they play in. These players must do this within 2-3 hours after the match or face the above consequences. Captains will be notified of any watchlist players on their team.

Important Changes

Every single individual will be required to demo, no matter what (as it was in the previous edition of this rule). Do not play if you are having problems.
You must also post in the MLSG forums on PROUNREAL in addition to pming an admin directly when requesting a demo.
Instead of admins initially looking at the accusers demo, then requesting the accused - both will upload and the accuser will review the accused demos to provide admins with more information.
Recording demos is an absolute must, we will forgo playing "games" with players and award penalties to anyone who mis-uses this rule for advantage. If you have problems with your demorec system, consult Reb or any other admin A.S.A.P
Players on the watchlist : Recording demos is again, an absolute must for all players, especially those on this list. If demos are not uploaded within 2-3 hours and submitted to Reb or admins, the players and team will suffer immense penalties.

Please provide your helpful input. This rule will go into effect for Round two on. Round one results will not be affected.

Due to the nature of siege. I think this would be good to implement as it'll give the accused some lea way to explain what they were doing...

That's fine and dandy, but uhm...I am curious on why Captains won't be notified about their own solders being watched?
I don't get that, I'd like to understand better. xD
