ACE timeout

I tried to search similar threades but couldn't find any.
After i login to Instagib Uk/Us/Combo the Ace is on loading, and after about 1-2 min it kicks me and displays:
"You have been kicked because of a timeout during the intial check"
Iv'e tried to reinstall ut, and i disabled my firewalls also,
Any suggestions?

Sounds like the netspeed condition. Connect to server, open console type netspeed 20000.

Then I just decided to buy a new computer, and that solved the problem. Im not even joking, admins can check the ace and see im using a new pc lmaooooo. But w.e try fully taking off your windows firewall i heard thats the main cause. are you using amd? or intel

Windows firewall is off, and im using AMD, i had this problem before and it worked after couple of weeks...
Maybe its something from the server side, cause i didnt changed anything.

yea same thing happened to me, iwas playing fien then all of a sdden it started kicking me out. but like i said i got a new pc and this fixed le problem. i was using amd too. try disabling UCC user account control.

the only 2 things i can think of is deleting all ace files and download them from server or let an admin bypass the ace for you.

That's an error from the SkyBox in the OutworldHOLD map... and will be fixed shortly....

It's usually antivirus that cause these issues or recent windows updates. Do you timeout on all ACE servers now or do some work?

About the skybox. I've added it to the whitelist and it is correct...it still won't work for sone reason. I'll have another look tonight. If it doesn't work maybe the skybox should be removed or just added as part of the map if possible (not sure what it does)

i found server with a working ACE its the:
Multiplay :: Public LOLMAN Face-Only, No Rules
But i still get kicked in the UK/US/COMBO servers...
any idea? im using wifi internet...
maybe one of the admins can help?

have you tried using a different rendering device? To be honest maybe you are having bad routing which makes you crash. Maybe you should post the specs of your pc and also when you enter the server do you move foward or just stay? I do not know if you did this but before you join the server have your netspeed to 10000 then join the server if you dont see players when you hit f1 then type netspeed 15000 or 20000 in your console and then the names of the players should load. That works for me if ACE gets stuck on loading and can't see the names of the players in the server. Also Sam have you tried whitelisting him or some admin when he joins the server?

What would whitelisting achieve? We can't sit around all day in the hope someone particular will come to play ...

Anyway yes I forgot about that. You should try using the d3d9 or d3d10 drivers in the download section

timing out will either be a port issue or (depending on O.S) an update which is blocking the ACE port, rarely a timeout will occur for certain files, if you want to check if it is the renderer you can simply run UT, then change it to software rendering and then try the server, if you still timeout, its not the renderer.

other thing you can try is rename your UnrealTournament folder (e.g. unrealtournament2) then install a fresh UT copy and then join uK server, if you still get a timeout you know it isnt UT causing it or anything within UT.

why the server ace time out for who uses netspeed 10000, i think 10000 too better for control the crosshair, it's because the pub plays with 24 players, and others play with 10~16?

I've found once changing renderers for most users who time out. The issue disappears. Now sure why!

OK first of all thank you for your help.
I'm using Amd athlon II X3 455 Processor 3.30Ghz.
I changed the renderer to software but i stil get timeout.
the netspeed solution dosent work either.
I reinstalled the game, still not working.
installed d3d10 and d3d9, not working. :(

Like I said 2 guaranteed options that will work, are 1. Backup your files and do a a fresh system installation and install a new ut.
2. Get a new, more recent pc. Had the same problem I tried everything in the book with no luck, I had to use the latter option. Im sorry for your misfortune but I was once in your dilemma.
