Not sure if this would count as a copy of an existing map or not, but I figured I'd try to submit it.

Why I think this map should win: The regular Face, in my opinion, isn't fit for siege. It's weird to defend, and most of the time the core is hard to attack. I completely redid the inside of the base, hopefully earning it some different and fun gameplay. Not to mention a whole new futuristic look and feel, including music.

I found several problems with this map. I would consider completely re-thinking this one. Sorry it's just a negative review, it's late, and I'll take another look tomorrow.

Missing some textures on the inside of the bases.

Core is too exposed.

Sparkly boosters don't really serve any purpose. Can't get to the upper level with them.

No teleport to the roof, and it's completely cut off. (maybe not such a bad idea?)

Upper middle area above front entrance would be too hard to take back. It's too strong.

Can't piston over the side walls. Too tall.

Also amplifiers + kegs are mid spawns in siege, take the amps in amp room out in face for siege. The map looked fine for me though, only a glitch in the building where you built a wall. Core too exposed? Do you know how exposed the core was in the original version? I think it'll do just fine we'll have to wait and see. Without the teleporters on top, it will take out the super booster that got abused a lot in this map, it was just too overpowered. I guess we'll find out how it plays.

severed i dont think your supposed to give the mapper entries any advice or fixes once they post it and tell them to fix something...

I think debugging is allowed before the judging commences.. We are judging the MAP not the builder.

You can't piston up the walls, so I thought the core being exposed would make up for that. I don't want to make a map thats going to last forever just cause you can block off the two entrances in the front very easily.

How can you edit face?. If face was ever to be another version in ut99, there should be a version of UT3's face, More bigger in the inside, and would cause less spam. In my opion.

i agree with disturbed, the UT3 Face is a little bit bigger and different. well the hard thing with face is that the big building isnt just 1 brush, its a combination of collision hulls, other adds,etc. You can get a cube around it and de-intercept it with it but i dont think itll be that much of a dif.

the only way is to export the brushes in .obj format then convert to .u3D format then import into Ued

i tried it once, was a real big headache, weapons and other static meshes i can get out of UT3 but as for brushes, too frustrating and too much work.
