I have an Alienware Mx15 with 1.6ghz intel 720Q i7core, 4gb of ram and running a ATI 1gb 5850 videocard.

I have always had this jitter/stuttering/lag what ever you want to call it problem where my computer will freeze up for aprox 3 secs and make like a scratching noise. VERY frustrating especially during gaming. It was somewhat fine before but lately it's getting too an extent where I can't bare it. I thought it was an update that needed to be done, so I updated the windows...what a mistake. Now I feel like I'm running a single core computer how slow it is to load multiple programs. I don't want to get to the point to reformat so I heard that my AlienwareFX lights won't work anymore or just going thru all that hassle.

It would help me lots to figure this out!!

Oh and I'm not sure if this matters but I tried running the Benchmark3d 1.0.2 professional edition , it did fine but the CPU test...wow I was getting roughly 5 FPS..maybe it has to do with it .

got an alienware m17x, would never buy it again, overpriced bs
they installed wrong drivers on mine when i got it delivered (even had a wrong/ bad bios version in it that made my gpu overheat with 110° cause it didnt work together with the fans).

Also, if i dont disable hardware accelerating, my lap wont even play youtube vids

one of my mates bought a m15x and they put wrong components in it, but installed drivers for the components he actually wanted. hence nothing really worked, shit overheated &blabla
