I'd like to suggest HideNPeak mod to be installed on all servers.

If you need a brief description, I'll post it.

Post a description of what it does...I saw what flay posted however a more elaborate explanation would be good :D

Siege does that already.
Funny enough... it was SK who implemented it for the visor, and Sektor who made the scoreboard based on that (which is why i haven't been able to revert it).

Wasn't that the problem that was causing so much lag? bAlwaysRelevant?

Don't think so, it's been like this for ages now.
And I did optimize the network load (CPU and bandwidth) over the releases.

Info coming soon... I'll have to get into the game and do some screen shots.

Screen shot of relevant builds as example (visible):

Screen shot of builds disappeared (the containers on both side, they disappear within a few seconds):

With this HideNPeak mod, it will make them stay always there... but not only build but as for players too. If they are hiding behind a window as an example, they would disappear anytime and no one can't see them unless the player behind window move a bit or so. Kinda like you get shot by a ghost... lol.

I think this would only make it players as visible.

I tried setting all builds as bAlwaysRelevant, this was an extensive subject of research back in RC14...
When you fill the server with so many builds, it's not the bandwidth usage that skyrockets... but CPU consumption.

A workaround for that is to increase the relevance timeout from 5 to 15.

Well I generally not worried about the builds too much, but the peoples, which can make a difference. I do remember coming into a game spec mode and then it took a bit to load a lot of things up, which it is normal for me.

We needed the buildings to "disappear" to reduce server load. In earlier versions of Siege, everything was always relevant which is partly why servers would lag as much as they did...

Yeah I understand.
