Yeah, I know it's called "combogib" but there is a normal weapons mode. Would it be too much trouble to add some more NW maps? At certain times of the day there are quite a lot of people wanting to play NW. Only about 4 of the current selection get voted and some of the maps never get voted. It would be nice to have some of the NW pug's maps and maybe... Facing Worlds. Or maybe a whole separate NW server! What say ye?

If you'd like to see some certain map, just post it up or a list even and I will take a look at them :)

Oh also DM NW was broken zp no one could pick weapons like shock sniper etc...

I'm thinking maps from pugs like speedpug, mlut, etc. Here are a few just off the top of my head: AreaN, FacingWorlds LE, Azcanize.
I'll check at prounreal. This site has a quite large collection: http://medor.no-ip.org/ . Your servers are some of the last popular holdouts. The worldwide player roster is dwindling.
Most of the time i see nw voted, the server is empty or there is only a few players.
It comes up mostly in the late afternoon early evening and sometimes very early in the morning EST/USA. It seems a lot of people don't like to play without their secondary giant ball of instant death so they usually quit. Those who stay get to have some old school fun and learn more about the game.

I don't even use combos and i always quit :p.
It does get annoying if you come to a combo server and have to play nw's instead.
The only nw i play is on an Australian newnet server, zp weapons is just shock and sniper arena most of the time.

I know you've been busy with newnet in combogib but while you're in there maybe you can also add some of these NW maps... ? Or maybe even we can discuss/consider the possibility of a dedicated NW server... ?
I doubt an nw server would be popular. We had one. Initially was popular but then dwindled. In fact the instagib US serves was cat UK actually nw... But then again where would it be located? People want Germany, UK, and US ...
It gets somewhat played on the combo server, people know is there. However those same people like to play combo and segregating them is not a good idea. The same concept with siege. It's popular, but if we open a secondary server it will be pretty much empty. And if it wasn't then you are splitting people between servers instead of keeping the focus on one server which then bring new players ...
The dm server is underused and I was thinking about changing it to a siege pug server but no one seems to be pugging these days...
If you have a list of maps I can add them. There's no issues there!

Could try a no downloads lms server, or whaterver mod some people was talking about a while ago.

What about turning it to another ig ctf server if one fills there's always a lot of people in spec

The other day uk server was full and had something like ten specs as well, then i went to the usa server was full and with quite a few specs as well.

Or maybe add IG to mapvote on COMBO? IG is fun, too.
Here's a list of maps I'd like considered for NW on COMBO. Some of these are already there and I'd like to see more if possible. I'm also wondering why there are two versions of "Infested", especially since it never gets voted.

While it's terrible at insta, the translocator sure becomes a great tool to navigate the map.
I think 32 was on server before actually. uranus it was my mobile. Took out the word up...

yeah thanks a bunch for all the NW map additions! Combogib is fun but NW is classic UT all the way!!
I am considering changing the Instagib DM server to NW.

I dunno about a nw server... I actually enjoy the DM server... don't really see nw going anywhere but I guess aslong as its not on combo so annoying to join combo then see its weapons like wtf.
Problem is, everytime I go to change the DM servers to NW, it's populated, so I don't lol like now....

just an fyi, but the maps CTF-Control AND CTF-ComboKing can be voted on for NW. They have no weapons in the map so it ends up being pistongib, lol which in a way is funny to play.

LOL, that actually sounds pretty fun !!
We should do that on Siege, throw in a piston map every 4th map or something...

I am one of the people that dislike NW and usually quit when such map wins the vote... But if we are forced to play NW can we at least use the hook instead of the translocator? It is one of the most unique aspects of this server and IMO would improve the NW gameplay...

nw will not be the same without translocators, also it would not improve the gameplay since people use them to get to small places like a window where the hook can't do that

Indeed, nw movement base is xloc chaining.
*offthread* I know NN Combo is being fixed or something like that, but is ther ANY chance of having newnet on NW? (nn on nw doesnt suck cmon is fucking better)

If you get the server back up, might you consider adding these maps and maybe removing some of the maps that never get voted?

Sure am missing playing on this server. Been looking fro another to tide me over until its repaired but other than the regular IG servers there's nothing that really has the variety of Combo and NW server. I like both game modes.

The host server has a raid setup likelihood of both disks failing were thought to be slim. I had a backup on desktop but apparently they were deleted.

Also, maybe set PURE hitsounds for enemy only? It's confusing and superfluous with boosting disabled.

You joined almost instantly after the first server start. I left the server unredirected on purpose as I wanted to test everything was working ok. After the server went offline, I added the redirect. If anyone notice slow downloads, please report with filename.

TeamHitSounds are off now. Not sure how I left that one on either!
