So Guys, my old wired Keyboard just died (Cheap Genius keyboard) so I replaced it with some HP combo HP Wireless Classic Desktop | HP® Official Store (http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Accessories/Mice-and-Keyboards/LV290AA)

The wireless keyboard is really responsive and comfortable, no regrets with it...

But the Mouse... Ughh... It feels awkward.. I know its 1600 dpi, but should it feel a bit weird ? I mean it kinda sucks at responding.

I was using some cheap eSenses mouse with 800 dpi (optic of course) And it was ok. I can use it again.

Is there a way to improve my current mouse for gaming ? Make ir more responsive or something ?

*Points at blaze*

Thx for reading.

Saludos !

You'll have to mess with HP drivers and config on that one...it's best though to stick with mice that you like.

also remember each mouse will act different than the one you are used to when replaced, you need to change most of the settings and take a few days to adjust to it in game.

I just plugged it and Win 7 installed the drivers.

Do they have some custom HP drivers for config ? o.O *searchs at HP site*.. Nope no clues.

Had a similiar problem when I switched to a Razer Taipan a couple of days ago. For me, it's just getting used to a different feel and adjusting the settings to suit.
Mess with the sensitivity, adjust in-game settings and practice.

OK. I'm going to say this only once.
Read it and tell others.

NEVER use a mouse with power-saving for gaming.
Wireless mice are generally worse, as they try to save more power.

They keep switching on and off, and changing power mode, while you are using it.
Not good for gaming.
A high dpi, does not make a mouse more "responsive", only more "sensitive".

A cheap optical mouse with no power-saving, or a gaming-mouse is best.
Even expensive gaming-mice have power-saving disabled.
NOTE: Both these types of mice WILL kill the USB ports on laptops.

could have fixed the issues but okay never mind

lol flay ive used a mamba for 4 years now and had no problems, it is the older version the 3G with one sensor not the new one

ive also had 4 G7's where the mouse had died within one year.

logitech wireless is the only ones ive had problems with in interference and mouse dying

razer are very good, I was contemplating on buying the newer mamba, but there isnt really any point until net is fixed...

Oh. We use ours on solid oak wood. It extends the lazer life expectancy.

I also use it on Wood... Does it make it better ? (For both laser and optical mice )

There is no space for a mouse pad.. unless its really small to fit :X

..What the ? T-shirt ? I doubt that will make things better.

I think it's better to use it on the wall that has some wall paper on it. If the wall paper has grooves that's even better since the laser can track into those and assist your aim....

I would suggest the following optimum position since you will have a larger mouse movement area

I've been using a G400 with a black qck heavy pad since though
