Bunnyhopping, bouncing what you want to call it...

So obviously this has been a discussion for a long time and has been voted by quite a lot of people.

Since there couldn't be a public vote and decision at this time (for the first time ever) we had to have a vote in the mod section....to wrap it up in short, going forwards, bunnyhopping is banned in siege. It is for BT only....

This rule will be enforced from tomorrow.

Cybernator, "going forward" just means "from now on", or "from this point forward", and I think that "Bunny Hopping" is the same as Dodging, correct guys? (Bunny hopping - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunny_hopping)) Just my 2 cents, but if you're making Bunny Hopping (aka Dodging?) illegal, wouldn't it just be easier to add a "No Dodge" Mod to the server setup, rather than A. Trusting people to not do it, and B. Having to ban people that are? I come from a sniping clan, and we don't allow Dodging on our server (and have a mod to disable it when you join the server)

Now I'm lost ... Kenneth, that just looks like someone hitting their jump button as they're running forwards. That's not dodging (as in double-tapping a left, right, forwards, or backwards key to make the player do a "flip" in game) Are you talking about running while hitting the jump button? And if so, why would people find that annoying/illegal? But, assuming that some people would (for whatever reason), does that mean that if you and I are in the center hallway of the 2x bathroom map, and both of us, armed with rifles are attempting to kill each other, that if we're jumping around at the same time to avoid being shot by the other that we'd now be breaking the new "no bouncing" server rule? Maybe it's just me, but in a game where some of the players are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO quick with a rifle shot, I always jump as I run (it appears that that's what you guys call bouncing) to give the opponents at least a small chance (albeit very small chance) of missing with their first bullet. Is that why bouncing is now "illegal"? To give people with the rifles a better chance of getting a headshot first try?? Thanx in advance ...

dodging and bouncing are not the same. You can't dodge like 5x in a row under 2 secs if you do then its called a dodge hack. Also bouncing makes you go further than dodging.

Bunny hopping is a skill in BT only. You can use it to obtain good records. Siege or any other gametype is not designed around it. In fact, in any other gametype it is an exploit.
