MLSGTV is exploding back onto the scene for the upcoming Global.Siege season. I'd like to see some people try getting into streaming this season. I've made a very basic guide on streaming Unreal Tournament in the hopes of helping some of you bring out your inner caster. Watch the guide HERE (http://www.twitch.tv/mlsgtv/b/417521391)!

I would also like to promote my channel a bit so people know where to go to watch this season's madness. This season we're really cracking down on allowing spectators and that has inspired me to try and make my stream as clear and smooth as possible. I'm always open to constructive criticism but there's only so much I can do with the internet connection that I have. Stay tuned to MLSGTV HERE (http://www.twitch.tv/mlsgtv/old).

For those that watched the guide and are interested in streaming this season, here are links for you:
1. D3D10 for UT99 (http://www.unrealkillers.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=3)
2. Open Broadcaster Software (http://obsproject.com/)
3. Twitch.tv (http://www.twitch.tv/)
4. Speedtest (http://www.speedtest.net/)
5. Google (https://www.google.com/)

I hope this thread helps and I am around the forums and on IRC to help, but please use the guide and google things before coming to me with every problem. Streaming does take some work and a decent computer/internet connection to do properly, if you're not confident in both of those you might not want to try streaming.

Keith, if you could run a few test streams on your own channel so I can see your stream's quality/smoothness I will give you my channel's stream key and you can stream to MLSGTV during this season. We can work out any problem with your stream together as well.

It depends on what your UT looks like in a window or if you're going to try streaming fullscreen. Fullscreen streaming, in my experience, is a pain in the ass and takes a lot more work than streaming in a window. If you find some D3D9 setting that looks decent in windowed mode for UT then it's useable, remember that's the only reason I'm on D3D10 in the first place when I stream. You can always experiment with different settings and try to find some kind of middle ground.

Tried it out, looks like I can't go over 480p without dropping frames on the stream. My ut runs fine at 120 fps though
