I have a problem with UT that only happens on this server.

After playing a number of games, the games progressively become more laggy to the point where I cant play.

I reboot Ut and the problem persists. The only thing that cures the lag is a complete reboot of my computer.

So it seems there is a preponderance of things in the video cache or memory that dont get cleared unless the system is rebooted.

Anybody know what causes this?

This happens on a daily basis. It seems worse when 4 player maps are played.

I used to have the same problem. It took awhile for me to find what it was after going through hardware spec vs game engine spec and started to come across more patches that eliminate the problem. If you have more than 1 CPU, your best bet (I hope) is getting to try one of these patch:

(If you have Dual core)
Link: http://www.unrealkillers.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=36

(If you have Multi core)
Link: http://www.unrealkillers.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=37

First thing you want to do is back up your unrealtournament.exe. Then copy one of the downloaded file, and replace it in your game's System folder. Start the game and play a bit.

Ps. I'm gonna add these to the download section because they are becoming hard to find on the net.
Edit: Already added: "This file is in the moderation queue"
Edit2: Added and updated on this post.

i used to have that on certain bt maps on my old laptop, flush usually solved that (just type it in console and check if its doing you a favor)

Flush sometime hardly make a difference on my end... but after these patch, UT run perfectly. B/c I've read somewhere that it is more common for AMD cpu users have this problem than those who have Intel, but Intel users could have the same problem.

So what do these patches do?
Let your UT run on 1 cpu instead of all others which cause the speed up/down and shuttering.

chamberly the issue your describing is on game startup as well as during gameplay, it doesnt usually happen after a few maps its always constant/intermittent

I'd say flush should do the trick, it sounds like a buildup of memory being cached?

I've had the same problem as this guy posted. I'm just only saying that it can possibly help using the fixed ut.exe because all of the problem has stopped from there for me and it could give the same result if he tried.

And if it doesn't, he can always try finding something else to use when some one else posted. When I've tried flush, it really don't make much of a difference. So result may differ.

happened to me the same as you but with the configurations
shown chamberly sped me quite the game. but you talk about
lag, if you have to more than one person using your internet
network is true that you will have lag but if not so I would
recommend a small configuration in the registry of your operating
system xp or 7
