I will check the inis on the site, and will remove any nexgen ids. And add a warning message to the upload page to remove the nexgen ids on the next update.
I will also add a check box asking are you sure you removed the nexgen ids, so people make sure to look.

If anyone has the same problem, re-download the same file from the ini site and it should sort your problem out.
All the nexgen ids should be removed from the files now.

what i don't get is why can't the user that download check the ini before using it. I mean it's common sense to check the ini for anything unusual or to delete anything that will get you ban. Don't blame sj but blame the person that have it to him or the person that used it in the first place. Check before using it.

common sense... yeah right. like deleting nexgen shit is something obvious to do at first.
pretty smartass comment
I don't think anyone is blaming anybody here? I was being strictly constructive.
However since the end user will receive the file, all the work should usually be done for them...so would say it is UT-Sniper-SJA94 (http://www.unrealkillers.com/member.php?u=1551)'s "responsiblity", to provide out of box working solution without any adverse affects.

I just thought people would spend 5 seconds to delete the few lines before they uploaded it. I'll just have to check new files when they have been upload.
On the next update there will be a bit showing you how to remove it on the upload page, and a check box that has to be ticked saying you have removed it before you can upload.

Instead of that....you should take more ownership of the content your site distributes though? Best thing to do here is have a moderation queue which notify you, then once you have checked all is in order, you should allow it to be published. Remember you are responsible for the content your site distributes and you should try to make sure at every point that it does not distribute any malware.

You could also automatically remove any sensitive data from the files since the NexGen sections (among others) should be easily parseable/identifiable through code.

Stop using other people's user.ini
I looked at Deepaks ban again today and there were ten people added to it. TEN
For as long as you do, the ban will keep being catched. Delete it.

Wouldn't just removing this from user.ini stop it, for people who have the old ini?
If it will help i can make the admin tool available public so people can easily prevent this if they have the old inis, or get them from somewhere else. All the user would have to do is upload their user.ini the script will remove nexgen stuff, and they can download the clean user.ini.

Just b/c something is made don't mean it is 100% dependable, always got to look over it just to make sure it actually done the job. Imo I prefer manual removal before uploading b/c that's just a better chance and instead of having some peeps freaking out that you giving out their infos lol.
