My computer crashed and it looks like my video card died as well. I reinstalled my system and didn't have a backup of my ini's etc. I am currently running off my video from the motherboard which sucks but will hopefully go out tonight and buy a cheap card. My issue is this, when I installed ut and copied the cracked unrealtournament.exe file it starts up just fine but when I try to search for populated servers, to add UK to my favorites, I get nothing. Attached is a pic of what comes up on my screen.

1455

Last thing I ask, is there anyone that can help me optimize my .ini's to get the most from my system?

Thank you in advance,

BB

What do you mean cracked exe? You should dl the version from here which are all official and it will install the correct master servers for you as well.

no point cracking ut when ut demo + 436 nodelta patch gives you a full install for free

I initially downloaded it from here and installed, then I had to copy the unrealtournament.exe file into the UT directory right?

The servers are coming up but it is SO slow and times out at times after showing only a partial list of servers. When UK server actually shows up it then tells me connection failed. Not sure WTH is going on because i've done this hundreds of times and never had an issue before. Install, copy ut.exe, copy over user and unrealtournament.inis and play. Not this time */

That sounds like your connection... but I don't know. Have you enabled UT to run through your firewall? I'm sure you did since your previous UT did worked.

I'm not home, otherwise I can help you update your ut.ini for master server query. Someone will have to help you with your graphic (OpenGL or D3D whichever you use) configuration.

Yes I added UT exception to my firewall, even temporarily disabled the firewall and reset my connection but no luck. Even the servers that show up wont let me connect.

I'm pretty sure you didn't patch your UT and you are running the demo version. If you downloaded it from here, the instructions are pretty clear. Install the demo, then run the patch. There's no copy of exe involved at all.

Please follow this process first before you report any further issues.

Yes Sam at one point I used an old CD that I have used for years. I just uninstalled and re-installed. Now it is working, thank you for the info.
