Post your pics or just the name of your product. :)

I'll start off with mine

and ipod earphones.

I made his thread cause i was wondering what everybody else uses, mine feels inconvenient to plug into my laptop and probably needs a change.

I use an IASUS NT3 with the ear piece removed. Picks up my voice very well and doesn't pick up ANY background noise due to it being a throat mic. I actually have my room shaking (surround sound) half the time I'm playing and no one on the other end can pick it up. If you want to frag with a LOUD (120+ decibels per channel) surround sound, then throat mics are the way to go. The only downside of it is that it's gonna run you about $90! but unlike most of the other crap you'll pick up, it's actually worth it since it's really good at what it does and can be put through hell (they actually have a tactical version of this same mic).

In my experience, most "gaming headsets" really aren't worth what you pay for them since they are usually inferior to OK grade microphones put together with OK at best speakers. In addition to that, they typically try to fake surround sound which simply sounds horrible (the Icemat/Steel Series Siberia is a good example of this). There are a few exceptions, but they are exceptions and not the rule. One such exception is the Tritton AX51 which actually has 8 slightly-below-the-OK-mark speakers in them, but doesn't fake a thing and does wonders for low-quality sound formats and most in-game audio, the positioning is good enough to make it useful as a competition-grade peripheral. Generally speaking your better off grabbing a good pair of headphones and a good microphone seperate from one another as that's usually cheaper AND better quality. It's also SUICIDE to grab ANYTHING that is USB audio, as they are guaranteed compatibility problems in the future and can't be used across multiple platforms half the time.

I did have a Trition X51 headset they were amazing for a week then the right speaker started going out randomly and the light kept shutting off and made this LOUD a** buzzing and it kept shutting my pc off. So that ruined my first ever Triton experiance never again will i buy them. I now have some Turtlebeach x11 theyre ok for cheapy's but definatly not recommanded if your a hardcore gamer.

What is it with everybody having bad luck with those things? The one I have has literally been powered up (albeit muted most of the time) for over a year now with half of my audio signal going to it. Never had a single issue with it, no buzzing or anything. Did you have a USB or 3.5mm one? The one I have is 3.5mm. If you have that headset still lying around, you should take a look at it and see if some of the solder failed in it. If that's the case, then it's an easy fix. Had the same thing happen to some Logitech Precision Gaming crap (3.5mm version) I bought to use as side speakers with an X530 box kit.

The way they were made the plastic kept pinching the wires that goes to the right side so forth cutting into them which made it keep cutting out and almost frying my PC multiple times when I went to try to unscrew everything on the right side it ended up me pulling the wires apart I have it laying around somewhere.
