Some can t use grapple in combo server . If it doesn t work by switching weapon and/or you want to keybind it, try this :
Open user.ini into your UT/system folder
Open it as a text and then replace lines with left and right mouse with :
middle mouse is my shortcut for grapple but u can use any key you want
LeftMouse=HookFire|Fire
RightMouse=HookFire|AltFire
MiddleMouse=HOOKOFFHANDFIRE
+ UT menu /Pref
Check DirectInput and Mousevison

Dunno why but few guys can t use grapple si lot of them were staying near their flag spamming it si, to prevent some complaint about abusé kicks, i ask them Read thèse firstly .

Doesn't work for me.
"HookFire" makes nothing :( and "HOOKOFFHANDFIRE" makes an instant shot of the grapple. But I can't select the grapple only :(

For only select it
MiddleMouse=GETWEAPON GRAPPLING
I use this
MiddleMouse=GETWEAPON GRAPPLING|GETWEAPON BOTPACK.TRANSLOCATOR|HOOKOFFHANDFIRE
Ctrl=JumpRel|DoubleJump|Jump | Mutate GrappleJump

At least I fugured out :)
jst2blond your post is not complete. HookFire only works, when you have selected the grapple before.
For a complete "select only the grapple" and "fire as you want" you need these 2 configurations:
LeftMouse=HookFire|Fire
...
<Key>=GETWEAPON GRAPPLING
(where <Key> is the preferred key or maybe any mouse button)

voidee, do You have your UT in german ? Can t You find mousevision or don t You know what mousevision is ?
Btw, if You follow all steps i ve wrote, it allows You using grapple by pressing on your mousewheel (as a button) so You don t have to switch weapon to have grapple . Press mousewheel =launch grapple, press it again or jump =release grapple .
At least, There are many ways to set your grapple, i Just hope it works for You :)

Jst2blond I have it in german :) and I don't know what you mean with "mousevision" ... maybe mouselook ? I wanted to have control about the weapon and the time I wanna "fire" it ... but it works now as I wanted it :)

Mine is in french, i dunno how it is translated in eng/us menu .
