Hello people, im new here in this forum, im having this problem from long time ago into now, SOME servers when i try to reach then to play, i got an crash error, please someone help me!!!
Specs:
Core i7 2670QM 2.20ghz~2.80ghz
8gb ddr3 Dual Channel
ssd samsung pro 120gb + hd 500gb 7200rpm
Geforce GTX 570M
Set on C:\ Virtual memory for 2048-4096
Tryed in Unrealtournament.ini with cachemegasize: 1, 2, 8,40, 200, 2000 nothing helped.
Server: 1.utbr.org:8888:8889

Sometime restarting PC helps.

About the Cachesize: https://ut99.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1521
Other idea: To prevent this condition, you must free up more space on your primary hard disk.
If no, sometime you'd need to re-install the game and it'll work. Keep the old file, but rename it so you can copy files over (maps, music, cache, etc.)
I used to have this problem but sometime it went away on it's own for unknown reason. lel. Never been digging in this problem much.

I have 20gb left in my C:\ 80gb left in my D:\, plus, i downloaded an copy of the unrealtournament of my friend ''rato.skt'', and still did the same crash!


I'm using windows 8.1 original 100% actualized, drivers of video actualized and the game runs fine in singleplayer. I tested in the ''uk server'' and it worked nicely!! This only happens in the servers of my country. O.o

Google "how to increase windows 8 virtual memory".



it was with no virtual memory, i put it on minimum 2048 and maximum 4096. U think the lower is too high? or the higher is too low? for 8gb memory and 20gb hdd space ?


Out of topic, timtim, where can i found the last version of newnet? i searched in the globalunreal and founded nothing!

Not sure if anyone else have anything in mind. Googling Ran out of Virtual Memory ut99 return different stuff but some say reinstalling UT works. But that's up to u.

I already did this.. ¬¬ maybe it's my windows or DX drivers? Idk, i tested different resolutions in game with different drivers (software, d3d, d3d9, opengl) all do the same crash!

Maybe it's one year or more now that i stopped the game because i can't play in my country servers. i hate play lagged.

Thxxx! Now i only need to repair this conection with the brazilian servers for i can start playing ut99 again.
Tested yesterday ut4, and i hated! No emotion like ut99

There's still a lot of work to be done for UT4! It is far from finished. The fact that it works as well as it does in its early prototype stages says a lot. :)

I understand timtim, it even is in alpha, it's PRE-Alpha! But still, ut99 the weapons are LETHAL, fast combats and there's not that technical game like ut3 (and ut4?) where u get shield belt and you have 75% better chance of survive an fight. this 2 games are clearly an timming game, where who get the best itens will win. UT99 even with shield, the weapons are lethal and if you are good... you can still easly do something.

Anyway, i want to start again ut99 here, but, this error are making it impossible for me.
