Today I was playing some games on different servers including the UK one. As usual I was playing by the name Amaz1ng. After a couple games on the UK server I switched to the US one, suddenly I was playing by the name PerfectPsycoo and I couldn't change it anymore. Somewhere around a week ago I had the same thing and my name suddenly changed again when I joined the US server. I'm aware of the fact that some of you dont like my playstyle, although it's CTF what i'm playing, but it's kinda immature if someone is deliberately changing my nickname. It only happens on the US server and it's getting pretty annoying, one time nordog was spectating the game and I asked him if he could change it back to Amaz1ng, he did it in less than 10 seconds. Does this happen to other players or am I the only one with this particularly problem.

Wasn't me, but I did saw you on the server.
Usually this don't happen and is not supposed to happen if someone changed your name :L but, Idk what is going on. I guess there might be a few instance of name change such as blank name not allowed but no one using that anymore. I guess we can only wait to see who done it and what they say?

A lot !!!!. saw him playing as Kr_isti (something like that) and even if i rename him, after few maps, it came back.
Funny thing is seeing real kr_isti (crotia ??) renamed as Rookie :) : weird.

I hadde the same problem s when using others inis before. Unrealshots ini kept renaming me As him. Solution Was to remove write protection and nex gen lines.

I don’t know how this is possible but today I was trying to join the server and I got this weird message that my Client ID was already in use. When I looked at the players who were playing I saw a guy named PerfectPsycoo playing. Are we playing with the same settings or does the server think we are the same player?

as i wrote, in the ini remove the nexgen settings. You are clearly using his nexgen loginid, and thats why this all happens :))
This is what happens when people share ini. The same reason why the server randomly renames people...

Lazy people can't take the 5 seconds to remove a few lines from a file before hosting it.
