I have to reinstall due to reformatting my computer. I was running Open GL, and it was fine, but in order to get 60 frames a second I had to reduce all graphics settings to low. So, I'm wondering if Direct Rendering might serve me better. That being said, I also want to ask if there is something I could be doing in my ini file to make my frame rate run better?
I have an Acer TravelMate B-115M
N2840 2.16ghz CPU with integrated Intel HD graphics
Whenever I pushed my graphics settings up I was getting more like 45-50 frames a second, and I found it worth it to drive down settings for a solid 60 fps, but even then sometimes it wouldn't hold. Is there anything else I could be doing to optimize my system? I downloaded the dual-core fix and it seemed to make a bit of a difference, but not much.
