Tell me about it. Management of IST is abysmal and you will lose interest in it because of just that.
If you need me to put adverts on the server, tell me you need that. Otherwise I will sit here thinking nothing is needed of me. I don't like having "failures" linked to anything I do however I also do not have the time to manage the tournament. Otherwise, it'd be a huge success story ;)

So give me board Moderator, I'll run it. I told you all you need is to ask and I'm willing to help. I've got a lot on my plate running my clan of fools but I'm pretty sure I could keep up.
It doesn't need to move to ml to be a success. To be honest, if it moves to ml, it will go down the toilet. Cause in that case all the serious players will join and ruin the game for us who just like to have fun.
Plus some people don't have an account on ml (like me) and don't want one (like me), so i know for a fact your already losing one player from ist if you move it there. Just keep it here, advertise on the server, and advertise on the forums.
Don't just blow it off, be strict about it, organize it well and make the rules well and it will go fine. If you really do need help running it, Pius has just offered his option of assistance and so has SAM. So what is the real problem here?
And me, I don't have nor intend to make an account anywhere else. lol
I'm also here to assist if I can, like I said before.
No promises on how much I can do though.

I believe that we need to start advertising IST on the siege servers and all the other servers. I will advertise today on the combogib server using admin powers. I suggest others do the same because we want this thing to take off, and if it is going to work, it NEEDS to take off.
Why not post in shoutboxes of other clan websites?
I know of m0h, UrS, CoD, BLS they have shoutboxes.
Idk of other clans that do, but why not?

ist mainly failed because of the floods, two matches (two weeks) were effed up cause of it...... add a back up server just in case the pug floods again....

Good that you're going to manage the match times better, that and the floods were the problem with the 1st IST, a little experience goes a long way. And it's obvious that the people who don't sign up are just afraid of [CHEF]. oh well. :cool:

Organizing the teams will be left up to the captains.
What kind of low ass shot was that A^3?
This tournament is going to be based around organization. Some teams won't even make it past the first round I'm sure, but the serious ones will make the playoffs and become the FIRST MLSG/MLIST/IST Champions.
I'm thinking Moko should make a sig for the champs, what say you Moko?

what is that supposed to mean? there will be captains but all they need to do is pick there team on draft day and make sure there team is aware of the schedule what more do you want me to do? spoon feed you as well?

Not a low shot. Just a friendly tip from the last Ist tourney. The captains you choose have to be on top of that.

i dont like to be put down... when everyone thats trying to make it work and working so hard to get it running... and then idoits like A^3 come along and saying your doing things wrong...
It's constructive criticism. Being that I have ran tourneys in the past, it can help you.
1. You have forum members signing up players that don't come to the forum. That alone will create communication problems when you try to reach them. Not everyone gets on xfire when there supposed to. Try to get the sign up players emails.
2. Captains in the last tourney either didnt show or didn't attempt to organize there own team. Captains have to be willing to do these things.
If you work on these right know, that will eliminate some of the problems later on. I'm just trying to help. I may come off as being a jerk but I'm sure you want this to be a success. I would love to participate and help but my schedule doesn't allow it. This is my last post because things are going off topic. Good luck.

I'm in the process of setting up a UT siege server on my commandline linux based 100mbit VPS (based in london, UK) which i will offer to teams who want to practise tactics etc etc (i will set passwords for various teams which will allow them to practice in private and not be disturbed)
Anyone who ends up on my team will have this server at there full disposal for practise with all the maps which are going to be used in the tournament i will also include map vote..
