Okay so I don't have a phone but I just finally am gonna get internet so I'm downloading stuff before I get it (I'm out of my house) to use and uh I got whatsapp chrome but I don't have a phone...do I have to have one for it to work? Because I'm trying to get it to work and it wants me to scan something so it appears I still need the phone...-.-"
Before I get scoffers idk anything about smartphone or apps or anything I have a flip phone from like 2003 have mercy.

You need android emulator on your PC. It will run Androin operation system on your Windows
Try "Bluestacks"
Download WhatsApp on PC with BlueStacks Android Emulator <- link

Whenever u run whatsapp 1st time it will ask u to enter ur contact number to verify it through with an otp sent to a specific number u have entered. Its not necessary to run this process on cell phone. You can run it in any kind of emulators like android (most commonly available) as skaarj already said or any other platform such as iOS, Windows Phone. However it shows scanning dialog (otp scan dialog) with a countdown time. But that doesn't matter. Because that otp is sent via sms on ur cell and after that countdown is being ended, it will ask u to add otp password manually that u got from then number u have specified on account to register. I think u might have heard this already and again m wasting a post here. :PQuote:
