Using tons of small lights is done to simulate radiosity bounces, as seen in GoldSrc engine for CS and Half-Life, it's a legit way of mapping.

Yet you are correct with PathNodes, pathing for Bot play, the 'new' (RC15 lol) RU swarm system will do a nice work from there.
So i guess there are no more problems that need tending to.
Here's my so-called final version - https://www.mediafire.com/?78up20bidm52u4l
all fixes
Major:
- no team color lights
- Less pathnodes and cleaner layout, even goes outside of base and into mid
- Fixed lift in base
- took out coronas
- aligned textures
- fixed some overlapping BSP,useless BSP, or crappy BSP
Minor:
- Added team color flag at right long
- centered flag
- Aligned the light textures
You don't have to listen to everyone.
If someone has a problem seeing players with team colours it's on their end, especially on butchered.
And you didn't add any atmosphere because you chose a bland looking grey in grey texture that was even more monotonous than the current one. Just like aleria ;)
unrepresentative polling:
18:41:16 @chis team colours or no team colours in maps?
18:41:34 +Cella team colors i think
18:41:38 +banny`phone Yeah same
Bottling that quote for later.
Serious note, it's fine if the base has colored light focuses emitting a fain colored light on them, but the entire room/ambient being team colored doesn't make for good visibility.
A strange case here would be SharkTank... it has team colored ambient, but white light focuses at the lower part of the walls making up for it and preventing visibility issues.
So another way to go for Zac, if you REALLY want the team colored light coming out of nowhere and taking up all the room's ambient, is to change the base's light focuses to white and have them emit white light to compensate.
how bout this:
i made the lights color coded, just enough where it's not intense.
