Mass confussion on McSwartzy map.

So I am confused on the ban I just got as it seems some people are not banned after being reported for shooting through the ceiling and yet I did that today and got a 50 game ban. There seems to be a split among the power brokers as to whether it is a bannable action.

Kennith says it is OK in the rules section and I quote "Ok. If the map is built that way then it is allowed however if the map has a bug like clarion and blackriver for example where you can shoot through the wall to hit the core, then that is not allowed (should be fixed next release credits to feralidragon / xXx)

Take for example bluevember. You can get up top and shoot the core from there. So taking ylthr small space above mcswartzly and shooting from above there is essentially the same concept."

So what gives?

tough one in my opinions it should be allowed on this map.
but now we're on it what about that spot in the wall? i heard from a few noobs its bannable? so my question is is it?

Well apparently it was just something I'm not aware of that they considered a gap between the glass which made by the mapper long time ago (wasn't intended to be built for siege?) and it end up being bannable of how it shoot through. I was aware of the burning map though.. hence I get confused?

I've submit a fixed version to chis and blaze but none of them even put it on the server yet.

I've yet to hear more about these bannable exploits to cover (on other maps) from fleece so I can patch them up so no one get banned for doing it then.

See other post. Would like to also add unless myself or another mod who knows how siege rules are and should be. Their explanations should be taken in. Anyone else for example kenneth who is a member in the clan is just giving their opinion. Glad we cleared that up

Not sure I follow what you are saying but I read the rules and could not find anything stating shooting past the glass was not allowed. Rules should be void of opinions and clear. Hear is the only rule I saw concerning glass:
"Shooting through windows/glasses/walls is not allowed (25/50/100 matches)"
So how does one shoot through a solid object? In McSwartzy we are shooting between the glass ceiling and the wall, not through it.

As a literal person I had to revise what I said because it is not what I wanted to convey. Shooting through something is one thing, shooting between two solids is something else. In th case of McSwartzy we are actually talking about shooting past the glass using the gap between the glass and the wall. Shooting through it is not really an option.

The ban penalty for shooting past the glass is stated as 25/50/100. Why did I get 50 for a first offense? Another "subjective" rule open to interpretation? For that matter, why wasn't I just warned during the game? I came in to the game already in progress and so most likely missed all the messages.
