I have ways of seeing everything you do, and I came to the conclusion that you're toggling. I can't reveal the exact method to the public just yet since it's currently privately being used to investigate other players but I'd be glad to show any other admins who would like to see. Just send me a message.
I really thought you could spot a bot Tim? I'm the cleanest player out of anyone who has ever played. If you think I'm botting, I really question how you ban people on suspicion or a log that is obviously false? If you have access to all of my computer processes you can easily identify anything I have running. Really makes me wonder sometimes
Uhm.. would you please provide a demo? It's the second time you've banned someone (that I'm aware of at least) for botting without any evidence whatsoever. Subjective opinion isn't going to cut it and it's not how we moderate the servers.
@Obs I warned you the previous map to stop DMing. You weren't even bothering to move forwards. And it doesn't matter what map it is. I even went into detail how you hurt your team because of it. I kicked you afterwards because I saw you doing it again. Sometimes you do play CTF, but half the time you don't.
@|uK|chiseller I guess you didn't read my post. I do have logs that show InfraRed toggling, but I don't have a demo because I forgot that the autodemo setting doesn't work while in spectator.
I'll go ahead and provide the relevant parts of said logs to the public.
Firstly, I've embedded a keylogger into Newnet that allows me to see every key press/release and every mouse press/release as they happen. Before the logging takes place, it extracts the player's binds, so that we can see which action they're performing. For clarification, I've used this on dozens of players and tested it in controlled environments, and there have never been any errors - not even with a broken keyboard or mouse or those who have removed the "notches" from their mousewheel to scroll faster.
In InfraRed's case, his MouseWheelUp and MouseWheelDown are bound to nothing, and I watched him press both before and after firing shots. And during which time, he did not miss. It also gave him this strange inhuman ability to perfectly track players movements no matter how (completely random, mind you) with this crosshair.

I wasn't convinced until the last one. The first few could have been attributed to maybe fat fingering his fire button or maybe it stuck to his MouseWheel somehow. But the last one is clearly very methodical. He presses MouseWheelDown an entire second before firing, and then MouseWheelUp an entire second afterward. It was no accident, and no other plausible explanation than toggling. I told Unrealshots about the ban last night, and then he told me that Blaze attempted to ban InfraRed a while back because he was certain he cheated, but the ban didn't stick due to lack of evidence. Well, here's the evidence. If for some reason it isn't enough evidence, feel free to unban him. But given the lack of an updated anticheat, this is the best we can really do on short notice.Quote:

Easily explainable on my mouse wheel down, when I go to shoot on my left trigger my mouse wheel is broken. I have problems looking at sites because the mousewheel is constantly moving. Heck if you can look as I'm typing this it probably is reading mousewheel down or up right now haha. Logitech G9x laser mouse, call of duty MW3 edition

If you have those logs, then please don't select and choose which parts you show. There's probably a whole log of mousewheel up/down while I'm standing in the base and not even trying to kill anyone. Look that up while you're at it. When the game started or however you get your logs. Just strafing will make my mousewheel up down go off because of the desktop shake, that's why I don't have TeamSay low or high on those two and it's unbound. So look that up if you can and you'll see that it's just a broken mousewheel.
since I'm using the same mouse i can confirm that it isnt a good idea to bind anything to the mousewheel there. A while back i had voice binds bound on wheel up+down and they did fire up occasionally in game without even touching the wheel, so i removed them again. only bind which i can use for it is prev+next weapon since that doesnt affect the gameplay in insta and is helpful when playing on an operation napali server with weapons now+then.

You are a savior for finding this!! Underneath my mouse is a button in the middle {looks like select on a playstation controller} and it stopped my mousewheel from scrolling and now has a hard click feel sound to it when I roll it! I thought it was broke all this time. Thanks a bunch for fixing it for me haha!! Atleast one good thing came out of all this, fixed my mouse wheel that I've had problems with oldcombogib automatically switching my weapon to the grappling hook once upon a time
