Only amateurs here. How to use a nvidia card as PhysX while using AMD for primary

If you actually want to RUN them at the same time - except for PhysX - you will need a lucida hydra chip on your motherboard.

Well this must be some new overly expensive shit. Not to mention that it is probably buggy too!

Sorry, what I mean is, you can't link them together and make them render the same screen. That's only possible with the chip I mentioned above.

No one is giving buying advice, we are just discussing technical feasibility.

Looks like the thread got derailed while I was out.

It does not look like UT has gone into a loop and crashed, and it doesn't show a load of errors just before before you quit. Difficult to tell where it has locked in the log, as it has so many errors in it!
May be better to kill UT at the point it locks, via the task-manager (right-click on the task-bar, or press CTRL-ALT-DEL).

Try and post logs with the [CODE] tag around it (the # in advanced post mode, not available in quick-post).
It takes less space in the post, when pasting large txt.

You can always try and make sure Windows is not your problem. I collected a bunch of free tools for tweaking and fixing Windows.

Oh and technically there is nothing stopping you using many GFX cards on a PC.
Just the options of connectivity. Most PCs were fitted with a dedicated GFX slot, which was faster than the PCI slots.
These days you can fit several PCI-E GFX cards, as they will get similar speed access.
However they will not all support SLI (joining) let alone connect with a different chipset.

The more standard the communication between cards, raises the likely-hood they will work as a pair.
You get the same issue, trying to link 2 WiFi hubs together as an extension.

Hmm.. I'm not sure what you mean.. I do know you can't make Unreal use both screens unless it's windowed (yuck) but more games should use it...it's just too AWESOME. and what about this? This is 2 monitors with UT on BOTH...

Actually, I should be giving buying advice having multiple monitors is AWESOME (4 is ideal) and EVERYONE should do it...it's so easy.

    LINKING YOUR CARDS
Linking your cards together as one, so they draw alternate lines, on the same screen is called "Scan-Line-Interleaving" or "SLI" for short.
A card equipped to do this, will have an extra connector.

Years ago, you would have used a 3D accelerator and your basic GFX chip linked together, via the VGA sockets.
This was also how you fitted the first MPEG/DVD decoder cards.
You could fit any two together like this.

However, an SLI card has to connect to another SLI card, for boosted performance, or they just work as separate screens.
