    GU.Siege I :: Siege Version

    As a new season approaches, we have yet again changed few things in Siege to make it more competitive. We, the admin team, hope that these changes will not be disliked and hopefully encourage people to come up with new and different strategies that would help them on their road to victory to win this season.


    Mid Spawn
    One of the problems we have been having and hasn’t really been incorporated into competitive play is that people don’t time mid spawns. Mid spawns have always been random and really inaccurate to figure out when it spawns. In the new version mid will spawn every 3 mins after a certain time. Hopefully now people will start timing mid spawns and try to get mid control as an objective.

    The second problem is that sometimes mid spawns outrageously over power a team when they pick up the first mid spawned item and this shifts the balance of game to one side. In the new version, the first mid spawn will always be the 300 RU Diamond. Hopefully this won’t change the game in the first 15 mins of the game.


    Shield Belt
    After some recent version, shield belt has changed many times. Problem with the recent shield belt was that people were stacking it with rubber and metal suit causing it to be very hard for people to deal with. In the GU siege version we made it so that rubber and metal suits would be destroyed if it was stacked with shield belt and vice versa.


    Flame Gun
    The flame gun has been nerfed a little. The new flame gun does not shot as far as it did before. Its range has been reduced by ¼ from the old flame gun range.


    Mines and Super Mines
    They are now a little bit more visible to see, this is just to compensate for some of the bright maps we have on the GU map list.


    Supplier
    Supplier will only give weapons to one person at a time. It is not the same mechanics as the supplier in the public version. GU siege version supplier will be the same as previous version supplier where it only gives to one person on the supplier and only give weapons to others after they leave the supplier.


    InstaGib
    Ammo reduced to 25. This is due to it being ZP now and we want it to be used to take down nukers, incase of wasting it on other players.


    Blue Gun (ASMD Pulse Rifle)
    Removed from constructor. Still Spawns in mid.


    Green Gun (Hyper Leecher), Bio Bomb and Ape Cannon
    Removed from the game, due to no one really uses it.


    Buildable Damage Amp
    It now costs 1200 RU to build and is not upgradable. We have lowered the price of Damage Amp because it wasn’t being used at all because of how much it cost. (Price might change if its overpowering.)


    Translocator
    Upgrade per level has been changed to 50/100/150/200/250 per level. We want people to discover new ways of nuking and not always use the same style of nuking all the time.


    Speed
    Now costs 750 RU to build.


    TL;DR

    Mid Spawn:- Spawns every 3 mins and first spawn will always be 300 RU Diamond.
    Shield Belt:- Can’t be combined with Rubber and Metal Suit.
    Flame:- Range has been reduced by 1/4
    Mines and Super Mines:- Has more visibility.
    Supplier:- One person only can get weapons.
    InstaGib:- Has only 25 Ammo
    Buildable Damage Amp:- Costs 1200RU
    Blue Gun(ASMD Pulse Rifle:- Remove from constructor
    Green gun:- Removed from game
    Ape Cannon:- Removed from game
    Translocator:- Upgrade Costs are now 50,100,150,200,250 per level
    Bio Bomb:- Removed from the game
    Speed: - Costs 750 RU

    Flame shouldn't spawn until like 10 minutes into the game. The solution right now will still lead to lucky game ending spawns.
    Anything thing else seems like a good step forward, especially bringing back the old sup.

    The first mid spawn (the 300 ru diamond) spawns at 10 mins and then every 3 mins mid spawns. 13, 16, 19 etc.

    all the changes seem good apart from the following, this is just my opinion:

    honestly don't agree with the damage amp price being lowered.... it is the NORMAL damage amp and not the siege modified version in the older versions of siege where it was nerfed. It will most definitely be overpowered and used with every nuke run if the nukee has half a brain, an amp is almost near enough a license to attack at will and not worry about dying with a nuke. Obviously if you cant aim for shit you're fucked but thats the point I'm making all you will see now is people building boots and amp, getting a rocket launch or some cover as well as them covering themselves with the amp.

    I'd say put the price up to 2000 instead of the old 2500 ru

    Why? Its a lot of collateral in one item for 1200 RU

    Also green flame was the best gun ever bring it back!

    is there a way of changing hyper leecher? its pretty useless atm thats also one of the reasons why no one is using it.

    We'll see how it plays, it can always be changed. We were gonna go with 1500 at first but pug this version when it's on the server first.

    You cant suicide nuke with amp, else it wont do its effect, and who would make one at 2000 or 2500

    Besides the extra 20% damage to builds compared to previous versions... it has always had a trick (since it was made), if you can figure it out then you'll get ru returns of 600-800 per leecher.
