    Monitor Help

Well i'm finally going to upgrade to a monitor instead of the old 48" polaroid t.v.. I really don't know the difference between a decent monitor but I've narrowed it down between these two (though the first benq model isn't listed anywhere I've looked)..

(XL2411T the one I was thinking about).. but this alternate benQ doesn't look to bad on amazon

Amazon.com: BenQ Official Major League Gaming Monitor RL2455HM (24-Inch LED): Computers & Accessories

    And the Asus VG248QE model

    Amazon.com: ASUS VG248QE 24-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor: Computers & Accessories

While the screen may be smaller i'm hoping to get better response since both are between 1 ms to 2 ms gray to gray and lowered input times between under a second on the benQ's and just over a second on the asus.. also I read about the coloring issues not being vibrant but that wouldn't bother me.
Any suggestions or just go with something else?

Thanks for the replies, would you both consider the Samsung monitors to be better than those listed? I have an ATI card and was reading about dual purpose monitors for pc and gaming. Are the BenQ's just overhyped? I know they have a black equalizer that helps with the super dark areas in games but I think it's mainly for NVidia cards.. I want to spend less than $300 but a little more would be okay if there really was a clear cut winner. I'll also look into the syncmaster.. Thanks

I got the ASUS VG278HE recently... also had a benq 120hz that I sold to someone else. I'd say pick the ASUS since it has 144hz and the other is only 60hz.

Thanks for all the input on this. I was going to go with the benq but really think that's a bad option out of all the other choices now. I do like the look of the Asus, it seems to be pretty decent on response times, input times and just a decent monitor overall. Still looking into syncmasters, including those two model numbers you dropped Blaze.. !44hz is eyepopping to me, and really under $300 seems great. I've been watching youtube videos of monitors and probably in the next two days going to decide. Thanks for the help ya'll
