tips to reduce lag or improve vision in game screen, thanks

Turn dynamic lighting off.
Turn off gibs (Ultra low).
Turn off decals.
Turn on precache, type preferences into the system console, click on renderers, then your current one(eg openglDrv), then set useprecache to true.
Use a lower screen resolution in game, for example I can use 1280x1024, but I use 800x640 to get much less fps lag.
Turn skin and world detail to low.

You are mixing that up with no lighting at all. Dynamic lighting is the lighting effects for weapons, projectiles, flags, flickering lighting, and so on. Hence dynamic.

Some maps like bt-maverick use dynamic lights to blind somewhat player's vision through eg a trigger controlled light or simply a flicker fx. If disabled and managed (this, cause sometimes has an apt way to get it work as supposed) you can watch around very well... kind of help so that's why they will ban you i guess

That is stupid, banning you for disabling dynamic lightning. I bet more than 75% of players have it disable because it distracts them or can't see with the aim.

The very few times I have played BT, I played a map where you need a torch to see, and with dynamic lighting off torches don't work, the map was impossible to play.

I find it easier, seeing a flag carrier or anyone picking up an amp... literally turns them into bullet magnets.
