    [Poll] Siege Maps

    First of all, this is NOT a request maps for Siege, not even for any other servers as well (Instagib/combo/bt).

    The thing is, what are you looking for to play in siege from a map? Spammy map? Smart map? Any in particular size or such thing like a secret? Any particular theme you rather consider? I'm wanting to hear someone give out some map ideas so some other mapper would take it into account and make it or whatever.

    Looking for a new project to build from stratch. I think we have enough of duplicating original maps.

    Anything bigger, technical, tactical and with plenty of nuke rooms and good features (light switch).

    Simple maps = DM ≠ Siege

    A sieged 'bunny track' map would be cool too.

    Gimme nuke siren and spy suit back lol Glitching SCs into SS was fun too. Still remember when really nobody got it when they couldn't step into sup. I'd never do that tho

    Butchered is like the textbook siege map, not 100% flat like blackriver/bathrooms and several paths to enemy base/core

    That's all you really need, be clever about choke points and don't make anything too easy to lock down with just super pros/mines, which lead to shitty experiences like simplex games.

    My advice won't be taken seriously but basically it works like this:

    fast paced small-mid sized maps with tele spots >>>>>> big sniper focused maps that take forever to end

    Actually yesterday I decided to start making one like that. The idea I came up with is really really good and it will be fun to build. I don't know if ill be able to finish it, but I decided to named it CTF-[]-BounceParty =)

    The key is the core can't be too open or easily accessed like on Icarus and there can't be too many entry ways into base (impossible to defend). Picturing how a base might be defended might help, but still probably want to keep it flexible to some degree.

    Alternately, just make about 4-5 more spam map variations of the Niven concept and you will have yourself a full server 24/7. Boom.

    The thing is maps get old, you can't really think of a tactic that hasn't been done before on a map like butchered/bathrooms/bluebember/insert generic map here, once people find out (read: get owned 10x in PUGs) about all the possibilities there's no difference between the good siege players and the great.

    These maps used to be fun, but once you've played out all the scenarios, it's not really that great anymore no matter how perfect (CTF-(EoW)Kanjar) a map is.
