    Quick question (WinMTR related)

    Is this still a problem from my end? Which hops (apart from 1 and 2) are from my end?

    That's outside of your ISP.
    Looks like a node inbetween is discarding data.

    That node is also the point where your ping increases, meaning it's a big gateway from your ISP (and others) into another higher tier ISP.
    Picture those points as a point where many thing roads converge into a bigger road, every single incoming packet has to be queued into the line and dispatched into it's destination.
    We're not talking of a small router, we're taking of ISP's connected into a router sending all of their customer's data (or most, depending on the connection level).

    So yeah, if said node is overloaded, ping increases.
    Packets shouldn't drop though... that appears to be an issue with the line or the router.

    If it's a GTT router, it should be fixed soon enough (someone is bound to complain).
    If it's a line issue, it's certainly happening to other users and it'll eventually be caught.
    If it's overselling, try playing at a different time, you might even get better pings.

    Example of overselling:
    Uruguay's AntelData has 2 known outgoing lines, one to Telefonica Argentina and another one straight to Miami (which is why my ping to brazil is shit).
    It used to happen a couple of years ago that the latency to all of the world would fluctuate from a base 250 (day) to 170 (night).
    Luckily that stopped happening as they increased capacity when they decided to give fiber to their clients... free of charge

    --- Updated ---

    Btw I also noticed your ping fluctuates a LOT.
    Have you disabled nagle algorithm on your OS?

    Do that and repeat the test.

    *necromancer bump*

    @Higor what's a nagle algorithm and how do I disable/enable those?

    @SAM or anyone:

    MTR - Pastebin.com

    Hop 4 is clearly the problem, but, is that hop on my end or on the server's end?

    Which hops define my end and which define the server's??

    Hope someone can answer this questions cuz I'm really tired of timing out each 2 secs.

    Hop 4 would safely be your host or one of its carriers.

    Gtt is a carrier for our servers but because the loss occurs before gtt. Its like a knock on affect.
