    Serverside map alterations for Siege.

    Considering stuff like XC_GameEngine, new Mapvote and other stuff coming, I'm thinking about making a small tool run on the server capable of altering maps a bit.
    This way we improve their playability and adapt them to new changes depending on the map and what the server is running, without making clients download anything.

    I'll add the most obvious changes to be done if we ever get this going.
    Maps marked with (*) require said changes to be playable.

    Suggest more stuff that would make some maps better.
    Also, let me know what maps might become too difficult to end if doors block explosions.

    (This map was best played in XXL2g don't you think?)

    - Sky zone changed from kill zone into a 20dmg/sec zone.

    if this means we can't make tele's anymore on top then i dis agree on this one.
    its Always been played like it was made for
    the whole map is about making a tele asap, its up to the enemy team to kill it before game ends.

    Hard to argue kenneth's point since in the original version, mid spawns on the high cliff. The ultimate version has a water well that can be jumped into to break fall and attack from the high directly behind base, so it seems this map was designed for taking the high.

    Also fix the outside wall on Diamondsword so you don't die when jumping into it lol.

    Right now the map worthless to play, not a single time I've seen it go over the 40 minute mark.
    And the cliff is WAAAAY too good, being both a safe nuking route and an unkillable teleporter zone.
    The purpose of these changes is precisely to make these maps playable, not a contest on who executes the fastest cheese tactic.

    (And don't bring up Bluevember, you have a critical time window before it gets fortified)

    Also, mid spawn can be fixed in SiegeIV's ini.
    If the maps were really designed for this, then might as well remove them from the server altogether, they're no good for a teleporter-based Siege.

    i want to make a map without sniper,shock rifle,minigun,jetpacks,sb and maybe teleporters,i wanna make more like a medieval siege,and remove long range things since its a open land,i want people to cross the land,possible?

    One of our mappers is about to release a map where sniper isn't given to players, so yeah, it's possible.

    Yeah, I'm planning to have specific set up in my next upcoming map. Idk where the sniper part coming from lol so I guess we'll wait and see.
