Hi everyone,
I got this file from a fellow player, was told its for a demo to practice. I ran it and it installed hundreds of infections if not thousandsand I'm at bout hour 2 of trying to clean up. I have seen some nasty infections but never anything of this caliber. The browsers all out of wack, I'm getting countless popups and Is installing programs at will and finding new ones in programs/uninstall.
Can someone check the link and file and update me, thanks.

What is in the .zip file?
File extensions and names would be good, if someone sends you something that is not a <filename>.dem, don't use it.

I executed the file and it instantly installed some weird Chinese media player then countless other little programs, then my browsers were gone. I had to use a thumbdrive to start launching some cleanup utilities.

@eliteverga I can't tell if you're trolling or if you're really that dumb and clicked the wrong download link on the page. All you need to do is click the button with a blue background that says "Download". Anything else is probably malware.

I just checked sendspace with adblock disabled and LOL. Those are some enormous fake download/play buttons. @eliteverga I highly recommend installing an ad blocker like uBlock (google it) which will help prevent you from doing stupid shit like clicking fake links in ads.

Yeah you get malware when you click on the wrong link and install an .exe, any demo you get does not come with any .exe ROFL.
Even Disturbed got infected by someone (Adrian?) cuz he clicked on the wrong link, and I think it's the same page.
Pro clicking tip to get the right one:
Look at the URL of the link before downloading it. This will save months of trouble. Even when there are websites that are new to me, this really save my ass from installing another virus/malware again. So look through, demoname.dem is the one you need. Or some will come in a .zip or .rar... but never a .exe!
