How is there no thread for Overwatch yet?! This game is fucking amazing.

I honestly think Overwatch will end up being one of the best games of all time. There are so many different dynamics to it and so much strategy involved. It's insane. I bet most Siege players would love it!

Blizzard is now one of my favorite gaming companies because of this game. I didn't know a game could be as polished as this... and it's still in beta!

I haven't had this much fun since I was a kid playing Unreal. I've been playing with a bunch of other UT players and they all feel the same way. It's so refreshing. UT players are naturally dominating this game right too lol. It's funny. I'm pretty sure we've won like... the last 30+ matches in a row.

If you're concerned about performance, don't be. Blizzard has done an incredible job in this area (all around really). What's so awesome about this game is that even though it helps to have a high framerate + good monitor, you can still completely own people since it's all very strategic once you learn the maps and the strengths and weakness of each character. So even if you can only run it at like 60 fps with everything on low, it's still tons of fun. Plus, the mouse input is really, really good. Going from UT4 (and even UT99) to Overwatch is like night and day in terms of mouse input.

Also, there are some settings that aren't enabled by default for some reason. Namely the kill feed (really useful to know who is dying) and I prefer to disable to kill cam so I can call out things to teammates instead when I die. And you can actually setup controls/configs specific to each character, and some characters have some special settings that should also probably be enabled by default - e.g., Soldier:76 and Zarya have a setting that will show teammates' health status since they have a secondary ability to heal teammates, and I think it's best to change Widowmaker's sniper zoom sensitivity to match normal sens.

AKA Blizzard, seen it before it become Overwatch... it is certainly doing well, but becoming into something that I don't like, sadly.

This game has serious potential!

It borrows a lot of concepts from TF2, which I've been thinking about reinstalling a playing lately.

Blizzard is well known for polishing their games, and it runs great on my system.
This might be my first game purchase in 2+ years.

Well sure. They had a previous name for the game and had to change it or something due to some copyright before, idr.

I thought Bastion was overpowered at first but he's actually really easy to kill if you know what you're doing. It's easy to take him out of the equation, most of the time. Bastion is only good if he has a teammate helping him, keeping him alive.

It's the little things in this game that really separate it from other games. Small example: The Reaper says "death comes" when he teleports. I was playing with Tracer and some Reaper was trying to chase me down. I toyed with him a bit (good strategy with Tracer is to lure enemies away from the control point) and eventually killed him and my Tracer taunted him afterward by mocking him and saying "death comes" in her little UK accent/voice. Got a good kick out of that one.

And then you have a bunch of awesome shit like this that sometimes happens:

Roadhog has a hook that he uses to pull enemies in so he can get a full shot with his "flak". And D.Va has an Ultimate ability ("ult" for short, only available when gauge in the middle reaches 100%) where she can jump out of her mech suit and turn it into a powerful bomb. Here you see D.Va use her ult and then Roadhog accidentally grabs it with his hook and pulls it to him and his teammates, killing 3 of them.

And here's a nice move by Widowmaker where she uses her grappling hook to fly behind a guy's shield and snipe him:

Here you have Hanzo (ninja guy with bow and arrow) headshot Mei (girl who can heal herself by freezing herself in a block of ice) after waiting patiently for her ice block to melt. The arrow pins her to the pole behind her lol.

Here's McCree (cowboy) using his ult (one shot kill on anyone in view) on 4 people at once, waiting for Mei's ice shield to go down.

This is a really good combination of ults. Zarya's ult creates a "graviton" that sucks everyone into one spot, and Pharah uses her ult (quickly fires dozens of rockets) to kill them all.

And here's a good one by Mercy. She can heal teammates, and her ult will revive them if they die, before they respawn. Her entire team dies and she revives all 5 of them on the control point.

Some looney tunes shit right here. Mei crushes a Reaper by using her ice shield beneath him which sends him into the ceiling. You can see his feet dangling through the ceiling lol.

And here Tracer accidentally falls off the edge of the map and then uses her time rewind ability to save herself like nothing happened.

This game is already incredible, but it's like 10x better if you play with a team of people you know.

thanks for the info, i'm willing to try this. i've actually been wondering what overwatch is like (I play WoW and i heard about overwatch that way lol) :-)
