I'm still frustrated with NN. UT Sniper I tried your Ini. Thanks. No luck. So for fun I just reinstalled UT for the 27th time. I made an effort to play in as many NN games as I could today. I changed my renderers, netspeed, played as a high pinger and a low pinger. It feels like quicksand and I can't hit anything. Players pop out of nowhere,look floaty at times and are even half in the floor!. I'm sorry Tim. I know you worked so hard on it and for many people it's great. Any more tips? Thanks

Find my posts on the cpuspeed parameter. You may want to try setting it to a few hundred below your actual cpuspeed.

Yesterday I mostly played on a few of the Ultimate UT Duel servers, #[email protected]#3 Public/Vote, and Full Metal Jacket. I will check out your posts about CPU speed. Thanks for your help. I'm sure you're sick of this!

I'm pretty sure those servers don't have NewNet and that's why it feels like shitty mud.

Ultimate uses Ultimate Newnet v3, Quakenet uses 9_15, and FMJ uses 9_0. Are these all yours?

I don't know what to tell you then lol. I know there are some hacked together versions floating around from really early unreleased/unofficial versions of NN. Those versions almost certainly won't have the same polish/optimizations as the later, officially released version(s). So I can't vouch for those versions but as for the official ones, any issues you may have are almost certainly related to CPU timing (it's a 17+ year old engine), either on your end and/or the server's end. If the server isn't using a tickrate fix then there will almost definitely be problems. How do uK servers feel for you?

It's possible the versions I'm playing on are really tweaked. I play all over the world. The UK servers seem like all the other ones. Just a whole lot of missing! Anyway, thanks for your help. Have a nice weekend.
