    hahah I love people...if you were serious on buying a video card for Unreal tournament [1999] Might want to leave your house for a bit and explore the great out-doors..it's fun ask Lotr.

    Don't worry about UT99. Just get the best you can afford.
    Match a new UT renderer to your new card and OS.

    nVidia + XP upwards : use the new OpenGL renderer.
    ATI + XP : use the new D3D9 renderer.
    ATI + Vista upwards : use the new D3D10 renderer.
    ATI + Win7 upwards : use the new D3D11 renderer.

    Use the D3D9 renderer if you wish to use the ENB mod.

    All renderers have individual settings, so you must tweak for your own choice of "optimisation", whether that be speed or quality.

    Yes those are the main new versions. There are newer ones being tested at the moment, available from Oldunreal
    http://www.oldunreal.com/cgi-bin/yab...num=1131878615

    DX10 and 11 are by Kentie
    Unreal engine Direct3D 10 renderer - kentie.net
    Unreal engine Direct3D 11 renderer - kentie.net

    Everything you need to know about setting up the UT renderers is here;
    UT99.org | TUTORIAL: Unreal Tournament Audio & Visuals Tweaking Guide : Tips, Tricks & Tutorials

    Everything you need to tweak Windows is here;
    Your Unreal - Tweak Windows and ALL Graphics drivers

    You can edit the settings in the main UT "ini" file, but the easiest way to access the renderer settings is via the GUI.
    Either from UT by opening the console and typing "preferences".
    You then see the "advanced options" panel that is available in the editor.
    Or if you have installed the "oldskool" mod that allows you to play Unreal, then you can use the handy menu option it adds.

    If you don't already have UT running, it can be quicker to open UEd and open the advanced options from there.
