It's like paying over £1000 on a MAC, when you could of payed about £400 for a pc with the same or, better performance.
In fact it is the high performance white-marvelous paint that make the difference in price .or may not

Cant really say something about macs, but the macbooks just look great and they run smooth forever, really solid hardware in those.
Cant compare that to a cheap random brand with which you'll only have troubles.

I got a origin(basically the old crew from alienware before dell shit on the brand) notebook for 3.5 and a desktop for 2.5k, prefer the desktop by far, Notebooks just aint that great for gaming, no matter how much money you put in em..

    Intel NUC for testing

I build up last time a Intel NUC to test different operating system etc.

First I did a upgrade from Windows 7 Pro x64 to Windows 10 Pro. Let's see how good Windows 10 will work. Unreal Tournament is running really good so far with Win10

    Hardware Specs
    CPU: Intel Core i3-5010U Dual-Core (2,10 GHz)
    RAM: 2x4 GB = 8 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 SO-DIMM (Dual-Channel)
SSD: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB
    Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5000

They might but as SJ posted you can get same specs for lower price (and even upgrade it more).
Of course, my comment is a little out of place (Sorry 'bout that) since I do not own any Apple product (dunno anything about their performance), but all the people I know (IRL ofc) are always like that and would pay any price if it has the apple logo on it

It's been a long time since that was true.
That pic he posted is pretty old, and if I remember correctly, it has been debunked a long time ago. Those computers doesn't match up spec-wise (that PC build used desktop class CPUs, while the mac used workstation class (xeon) etc etc).
Even if the specs matched, a simple spec sheet doesn't factor in things like build quality, trackpad, etc etc.
The of course, there's OS preference, which is subjective, of course, but all in all, even if mac cost a little more, if you're gonna spend hours each day working on a computer, spending a little more to get something that works better for you is a no-brainer for most people.

My next laptop will most likely be a MacBook. They're pretty solid and probably the best thing you could use for modern web development. When I have my own office or something I'll probably go with an iMac. For gaming, I'd definitely build my own Windows rig. And for a custom fileserver/streaming or something I'd go with a lightweight Linux setup.

I don't understand why people prefer macs.

I only spent the money on this lagtop because I have no desk. So its easier for me to play on a laptop. Might as well buy a good one if I'm buying / spending money?
