    Siege for UT4

    @Higor or @Wildcard

    Would you guys plan on making siege for UT4? Maybe bring the whole |uK| clan scene onto UT4? I know it is a little early but what are you thoughts after the game is released?

    justa noob question, is this unreal engine 4 the same one as the one that is used on ut2k4 ?

    Nope. Different engine.

    Going to be a lot different coding for this. There is no uscript at all; it's all C++ and templates. It looks easy from the videos. Have to pay $19 a month for access to the source+editor though.

    I'm going to give it a few months so that something tangible is in development I think. Don't want to pay just look at an empty repo...

    When you've already started messing with the old engine in c++, you feel more confident coding native classes rather than messing with templates and kismet, not to mention the knowledge on how the world tick and replication mechanics work.
    If I were to mod for UE4, I'd go full native and control events my way.

    In short, different language, same engine fundamentals... and modding huge projects like Siege is 70% engine.

    @~V~ i actually said that cuz of the system requirements the game would need, since i don't have a decent gaming computer to play on lol

    That's going to be the main problem, Siege's already undergone various optimization techniques and they're easily portable it won't add extra load to a system.
    It's all coming down to how the main game's requirements and optimization go.

    ... all this assuming we don't recruit a 3d model artist for next-gen graphics on stationary buildings, an alpha version will surely start off using the same old models lol.
