Can't really compare, because back then I was on a 10 year old computer that barely got over 70fps at 800x640.

How much good monitor make a difference? Is essential to have high frame rate? I never had monitor with more then 75Hz

If you get high enough fps( >= 144 ) they make a huge difference, if you can't get close to that fps they won't make such a big difference. The gaming mode setting on this monitor makes all colors stand out more, and makes players easier to see even without the extra hz. You can see so much more clearly at higher hz, tracking players is much easier, the higher hz also reduces eye fatigue, I've played a stupid amount of hours in the last week(over 8 hours in some days), except from today and yesterday, and my eyes where not sore at all.
