Can't change settings while playing (music volume, player name etc.)

So I suspect this is because of very strict ACE rules, but is there a reason why changing settings such as music/sound volume or player name is disabled on the servers?

Maybe I can understand blocking name change (although personally I don't block this on my servers), but it's very annoying not being able to change music/audio volume.

you have to do this b4 joining an online server i.e test it in practice mode

I know but there must be a mod running on the servers which is blocking the volume control. And maybe the admins could switch it off?

I use a hotkey to toggle music on/off frequently while playing but it doesn't work on the uK servers because of this.

Make change offline and set your ini "read only" it's the most you can do

I think everyone has misunderstood the problem.

There is something running on uK servers (probably ACE) which prevents everybody from changing their volume while playing.
It doesn't happen on other servers.

I'm saying that it's not necessary and it should be removed to make playing more enjoyable.
