I am going to be challenged tonight and will accept. When I do it tomorrow I'll donate money and insist that those I challenge also donate.

And If you want to rain on the parade of everyone doing it then FAK U! Those not doing the challenge might be donating to a charity separately or might not, but there's no denying that the challenge has raised funds for a worthwhile cause

The problem i have with the Bucket challenge is a portion of people do no not why they are doing it. Or what ALS even is. They just think it is fun and games pouring a gallon or two on top of your head. Which brings me to my other problem. How do you think a poor person that lives in a poverty country say when he sees a bunch people dumping water on themselves? Let's face it we can not possibly survive without water. So do the math, let's say 10000 people did the challenge and 1-3 gallons were used for each person, that is 10000 - 30000 gallons of water.

Then this fad will eventually end because a lot of people will forget it since it is not an annual event. It would have been better if they did a annual event like breast cancer.

So for people that want ALS to be more aware, create a fundraiser, charity or something in your local community. It will soon grow to a big event if you do it annually and people will know more of the disease. I do not think people that have ALS would want you to waste water to be more aware of the disease.

You could hate me or what. I do not care, i expressed my feelings with this "event." I wished other people felt the same way and did something to bring more awareness to ALL cancers not just ALS.
