    OpenGL middle screen cross

    Hi,
I have this problem whenever I try to use OpenGL. It happens mostly when I minimize the game. I wouldn't be so bothered if I didn't have a complementary problem, wich I actually don't mind as it self, that my UT, very often, freeze at main screen and can only be unfrozen by minimizing the game.

(Had to draw the cross on paint, since the ss couldn't capture it, but its just like that, just a little lighter)

I don't know if it changes anything, but Im using max brightness ( the ss doesn't show it ).

Do you guys have any solution/suggestions ?

Well its called double crosshair, and it most of the time appears when you alt tab on openGL.

Easiest solution is to reboot UT id say. Dont really have any other option in mind right now.

Hmm... Since its a rendering problem, is there a way to set D3Dx brightness as high as OpenGl's goes ?

Turn off Dirrect input, in UT input option.
SO you will be able to minimize UT and no double cross will appear.
BUT some people say they have some mouse lags when Dirrect input turned off (i dont have that lags, for me it same with dirrect input and without)
So if u will turn it off, and mouse movement feels weird, turn it on back. And just dont minimize UT then

    Thanks for the replies
The direct input seems way too wierd, but it did fix the issue. The Gamma settings didn't change as much as I expected, but its a good alternative
Since I have that complementary problem of minimizing, I'll just stick with D3Dx

D3D9 has been by far the best renderer I've used and doesn't have any issues with minimizing either

    Then try changing it...
    GammaOffset=0.200000

Im using this same value cham, but its not the same as OpenGl, no problem though, been using D3D8-9 for a while and already got kinda used to it.

The mouse feels better with openGL, but direct3d9 is more stable and consistent from my experience.
