strange lag

Wait until you finally talk yourself into getting another monitor. You will be able to have a stream or something else that used to be a heavy load on your old pc in another monitor while playing UT in your main. I used to do that all the time. Not distracting at all. If youre into webdev or anything like that, you will see that multiple programs wont even be noticeable on your new machine either. You did jump a few generations in technology.

if I aim at the player the shot goes through them, if I miss completely it somehow kills them, drives me insane, it's like the hitboxes don't match the player model.

Yeah, it's not helpful when you aim at the player model and it goes straight through them though.

I'm just checking everything to do with my connection, checking all the cables and trying different ones to see if it helps, but on the combo server there is no problem with hits not registering, UT4 is fine as well.

Do you think reducing fps will help with it? (locked at 120fps 1920x1080 atm, otherwise I'll get about 600fps on some maps lol)
