    UT crash several times after playing 8 mins.

    Somehow crash in mid games after reload UT and join then exit right away 3 times in a roll.

    Something to do with your d3d render. Have you tried making changes so it doesn't do that anymore? Mine used to do that until I found the correct set to match my graphic card somehow and it works.

    So many other will have different opinion so that gonna come here but I had the same exact error on another map until I fixed it.

    I also think that map do really like to make crashes... CTF-(Vp)FragWhorEes

    Thanks for the reply.

    Playing on Seige server has no problem.
    I played instagib server this afternoon also ok until now. nothing has changed in my D3D settings.

    Also experienced same problem when playing on CTF-PureAction map after CTF-(Vp)FragWhorEes. It used to be no problem on these maps until now. Crash everytime in the 1st death.

    Not sure about will other player cause this problem (e.g. their skin is not a standard one)?

    Anyway will monitor the problem later tomorrow.

    I just finish seige and then went to ComboInstigib server at PST 15:52 on Oct 3, map in played is CTF-Denise(R), got same error.

    And I realized that it happen once a player called uranus is on. Very strange. Even go to spec mode still crash with same error.

    Actually just now I went to US instagib server, and it is on map CTF-LiandriDocks.
    My UT crash with same error once I die. You know what uranus is in play.
    After he went offline somehow by looking at the online player, I logon same server, still the same map. I can play and capture a flag, all went well....
    Until then he log on as spectator, once I die. Crash.
    Time is 02:35 Oct 04 PST.

    I don't know if others has experienced the same problem. But I am pretty sure he does have a highly correlation to this problem.

    I'm not using any special skin. I use the skins that come with the install from my UTGOTY cd's I bought in 2000 from gamestop.
    Male Soldier > Metal Guard > Drake > Male Two voice
    Other non standard items in C:/UnrealTournament: UTCacheConvert.exe, XConsole 3.4.2 and updated ogl and d3d8 dll's. The "fixed" hirez textures are in my UT folder but I don't have them enabled. I also have the UnrealTournament.multicore.fix.exe but I haven't used that for some time now. It seems that my game crashes more with the multicore fix.

    Now that I see these multiple stories I agree there may be some correlation with some aspect of my client but it certainly is not any intentional sort of measure on my part.

    I'll change the skin. If it still seems to be a problem then I guess I'll clean install again.

    edit: I remembered that I have set my User.ini to read only in the past 2 or 3 weeks but I don't know if that would have anything to do with it.
