    Nice build!

Assuming this is predominantly a gaming PC, my main suggestion would be to get an i5 6600k instead (which would also mean getting a Z170 motherboard). You'll save at least $110 with the 6600k while getting either the same or better performance. The 6600k should also overclock better. Plus, if you go with the 6600k, you should also get DDR4 RAM, as it pairs perfectly with Skylake CPUs (e.g., the 6600k) and can run at much higher clock speeds than DDR3.

I can run UT4's DM-Chill on max settings (except for shadows+effects, which no PC can handle right now apparently lol) at a constant 144 fps with no stutters, and I think it's due to combination of GTX 970 + i5 6600k @ 4.4 GHz + DDR4 RAM @ 3200. And some more info for you:

    http://www.corsair.com/en-us/blog/20...r/ddr3-vs-ddr4

Here you can see the 6600k outperforming the 4790k (which is actually a small step above the 4770k):

The i7 CPUs are overpriced imo, especially for gaming. They're mostly only good for multitasking - i.e., running tons of different CPU intensive programs at the same time.

I'm one hell of a multitasker! LOL. But I don't think I'll be running UT4/PS/Vid editing all at the same time or whatever but yes, gaming and some UE development.

Interesting links. Only thing I don't see on your list is the graphic card.

Same GPU, the 970. Great card! I'll fix the link for you: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/timbur/saved/vM3rxr

Even so, the i5 6600k with DDR4 @ 3200 should be more than sufficient!

LOL, I am buying parts today or tommorow, depends if I figure out what is compatible or not))
I picked all the parts I wanted to buy through a webshop, but firsly I asked the guy from the company I am ordering from to take a look if its all compatible. He said i selected the cpu without cpu box. Without googleing, I am not 100% sure what exactly cpu box is.
And the more expensive 6600k which should have the box is sold out from the shop.........
    Maybe some little help?)

I think I'll skip on this until I get some extra $ coming in later, along with the monitor and such.

    I guess the i5 6600k might win a spot I guess. Long I'm able to grab a DDR4, that's fine too.

I just spent almost that on a new set of cymbals, and dammit I just remembered I want to order ram for that desktop again. I remember once every few weeks, it seems.

are you gonna make a video of you building it up? o.o

I was told building up your own pc gaming is worth better than buying one lol

What about the hard drives? Traditional one or SSD?
    And the OS? (Win/Mac/Linux)
