    Most MLM that I know make most of their money from signing up members, not the product. You can make money, but its almost like getting paid by the people that you recruit, and if they're not able to recruit then they lose out. I remember being invited by someone for Vemma, and he was saying how he's got other people signed up to it, how its a revolution etc. A shame that so many people are falling for it. Reminds me;

    “The Hour will not come to pass before the River Euphrates dries up to unveil a mountain of gold, for which people will fight. Ninety-nine out of one hundred will die (in the fighting) and every man amongst them will say: ‘Perhaps I may be the only one to remain alive (and thus possess the gold).’”

    Aside from the obvious PYRAMID scheme (thank you Jst2blond), I find it ridiculous that they isolate the CBD. It's an attempt to appeal to terrified religious people who think that "god" doesn't want anyone using the plant that "god" himself made. It's also ironic that Kanaway is run by some Christian scammers and their product is ludicrously overpriced substandard tainted garbage.

    Here is a quote from one of the scientists hired by Dixie Science, then a part of MJNA, to help create these Kannaway products:

    I am tired of so called CBD companies claiming that what they provide is medicine. Anyone using a CBD from hemp product please be aware of what you’re actually getting because it is not what you think. These formulations start with a crude and dirty hemp paste (contaminated with microbial life! I have seen this and these organisms decompose the paste. The paste perhaps even contains residual solvent and other toxins as the extraction is done in China ) made in a process that actually renders it unfit for human consumption.

    What these companies are doing is criminal and dangerous. In fact MJNA’s RSHO is literally just this hemp paste diluted in hemp seed oil. No refinement at all!!! And what Dixie Botanicals is offering is beyond disturbing. I cannot keep quiet any more. And since I formulated most of these products as head of Dixie science, I feel responsible for spreading the truth. I left Dixie for ethical reasons but it is not enough to just walk away. These frauds need to be exposed for what they are. Look out for my tell all article coming soon and feel free to contact me directly with questions as it is time to blow the whistle. Let’s keep this industry pure and safe.”

    — Tamar Wise, formerly head of Dixie Science.
    The origins of the whole marijuana scare make for an amazing story of lies, deceit, collusion and straight up corporate thievery. It's like making water illegal.

    I catch your sarcasm (I think) but I wouldn't be surprised to hear that this is a quote from Fox News or some such propaganda machine.

    I need proof. In the meantime I'll continue my own research

    That's an interesting snippet but I'm not paying $39.95 for the whole non-clinical study that provides anecdotal evidence at best even though I concede they may be onto something. Still, even if there were proof of lower neurocognitive function this would not be sufficient reason to apply criminal penalties to the use or possession of a plant that suffered through all those years of evolution along with all other life on the planet.

    Cannabis is the hardest "drug" to get approval for research in the U.S. Clinical researchers can get permission from the DEA to grow or create restricted compounds like LSD, MDMA or psilocybin in the lab; not so with cannabis.
    The University of Mississippi grows and harvests cannabis for studies funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, yet because NIDA's congressionally mandated mission is to research the harmful effects of controlled substances and stop drug abuse, the institute isn't interested in helping establish marijuana as a medicine.

    "If you're going to run a trial to show this is going to have positive effects, they're essentially not going to allow it," Lyle Craker, a professor and horticulturist at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, says.
    That's why there is very little research. If you want to research heroin, cocaine, LSD, molly: no problem. The irony is that on the one hand, United States federal government officials have consistently denied that marijuana has any medical benefits. On the other, the government actually holds patents for the medical use of the plant.
