Shotman...baron finds me How'd you know that anyways??

I made the corners from an extruded addition using the 2D editor if that helps. Heres a pic, my BSP of the rest of the map is atrocious, I'm rather embarrassed but i said screw it lol

Nice, additive curves are far better than substractive ones.
They don't put much stress on the BSP, and don't cause horrible polygons outside of the map.

If you're feeling like reducing build times and polygons even more, convert those additive curves into SemiSolids brushes, as long as no other semisolid brush is touching them.

Whoa, me and Baron assumed you died heatwave! I never expected to see you here. Thank god rising isn't here, he'd probably be disappointed with my brushwork and level flow :P

I'm still messing around with the map and finishing it up but I already got an idea for my next one...its gonna be outside

take about 3 lights, goto light properties and change its light type to Spotlight, then place them all at a different angle at the curve. then select the brush rotate thingy, hold control and move around where the spotlight hits. Do it for all three with high brightness and you should be able to hit all the angles on the curves edges and make it smooth. youre gonna need to rebuild the lighting a lot to actually see the results. You'll have to light the curve all the way up, its a pain in the a**! Unfortunately I don't know if I can every actually release this map...I went and played it on my UT with high res textures and at the flag point my FPS dips down to 45 yet my poly's arent even above 200, i dont know why its lagging

This was like UT porn when I figured this out...ignore the left and right side, the lighting is janky, i was gonna fix it...

But yeah, a lot of time was wasted on this map, it was a lighting nightmare you'll need to mess with the light cone and radius as well!
